Chapter 45 - Bless It

They arrived at the cinema and walked in.

"What movie do you wanna see?" Silas asked as they looked at the posters.

Alice looked thoughtful.

"What about that one?" Alice pointed towards what looked to be a poster with sound waves.

Silas read the title.

"White noise… it seems to be some kind of a thriller."

Alice nodded.

"Let's take that one, and it's on in 10 minutes."

Silas thought this movie would be alright.

"It might be scary… are you still sure?" Silas asked.

Alice looked at him and narrowed her eyes with a smile.

"Yeah."

With that Silas didn't hesitate any longer and walked over to the cashier.

"Where do you wanna sit?" The cashier asked.

Silas looked thoughtful.

"Which seats are available?"

The cashier looked at her screen.

"Well the movie has aired for a few weeks so it's pretty empty.

Just then Alice leaned over behind Silas.

"We want the seats furthest back."

The cashier looked up questioningly at Silas.

Sigh.

"We'll take those." Silas said.

The cashier nodded.

After they paid they walked over and filled up their cups and hauled their popcorn towards the salon.

Alice pulled Silas towards their seats and sat down.

"Are you excited?" Alice asked, holding Silas's arm with her right hand.

Silas placed his popcorn on the seat next to him and the drink in the cup holder.

"Yeah, the movie seems to be good."

Alice hummed in response. She was both happy and excited.

Soon the light dimmed in the salon and the projector started.

"Shuu~" Alice made a hushing gesture with her finger and then let out a chuckle.

Silas shook his head in amusement.

After the movie started they were both absorbed. The movie was quite good.

It followed this man who lost his pregnant wife. Then later a man approaches him and tells him he can hear her in the static noise of radios, TVs, etc.

He later becomes obsessed with this white noise. He starts to listen to it to hear his wife.

But it's like a Ouija board and attracts a bunch of demons that possess people close to him and then starts to kill.

He then dies and at his funeral his son hears his voice on the radio one last time.

Walking out of the salon Alice was quiet then said.

"Wow, that was actually pretty good." Then she frowned. "A bit dark though."

Silas nodded.

"The ending could've been better."

Alice nodded.

"Yeah."

They walked out of the cinema and headed towards the car.

"It seems to be about to rain…" Alice said and looked up at the sky.

When they walked into the park it did indeed start to rain.

They hurried over to one of the trees and stood below.

"Couldn't it have started to rain when we arrived at the car?" Silas complained.

Alice smiled.

"But this is pretty cozy?"

Silas glanced over with furrowed brows. Really?

Alice met his gaze and leaned it.

"It is."

"I didn't say anything." Silas retorted.

Alice ran her hands up his arm.

"Your eyes did."

Silas raised an eyebrow.

"My eyes did?"

Alice nodded.

Seeing her assured face Silas got interested.

"Then what do my eyes say now?"

He looked at her and widened his eyes so she could get a good view.

Alice narrowed her eyes and looked thoroughly.

"Hmm" She let out a thinking sound.

"Let me get closer." She leaned in and got really close.

Silas was surprised. Their noses were nearly touching.

He moved his eyes towards hers and then they locked with each other.

Alice gripped his shirt tighter. Silas felt this and knew her thoughts… his were the same.

He moved his hands and put them on her waist. He pulled her body closer.

They were now body against body and he could see Alice's excitement in her eyes.

Just when they were about to lean in.

Ring~

The phone called.

Alice pulled away and searched her pockets. Clearly she was embarrassed.

Fuck! Silas cursed. So close! He wanted to twist the head of the person who called and shove hummus where the light doesn't shine.

He saw Alice clumsily get her phone out of her pocket and fiddle with it.

Seeing this he raised his hand and rubbed the back of his head. Phones have truly ruined society.

Thinking it was over he relaxed and felt the excitement fade.

But just then he realized. Alice hadn't taken the call.

Before he could think further he felt a hand grab his collar and pull hard. Caught off guard, he stumbled forward.

He saw Alice's face getting closer and then…

His eyes widened. He was surprised to say the least.

Feeling her soft lips against his, he woke up and reached out his hands and put them on her waist.

He once again pulled her against himself.

Feeling her soft body against his and her soft lips against his own. He felt it. He really did.

This place under the tree, with rain in the background, was truly cozy.

He felt Alice's grip on his shirt loosen and they separated.

Alice was just about to say something when he pulled her closer once again.

He wasn't finished.

This time it was Alice's turn to be surprised. But she quickly recovered and wrapped her hands around his neck.

She felt the butter flies in her stomach calm down… now she was just excited.

He felt the same way! She had been nervous. They had their moment before the phone call… but she wasn't sure.

But she couldn't hold back. Even if he didn't feel the same, she had to let him know how she felt.

They stood under the tree as rain pattered against the leaves, making ambient sounds.

Some drops of rain would slip through the leaves and still hit them.

They kissed what felt like eternity, but neither of them could get enough.

Finally they separated!

Silas locked eyes with Alice and smiled.

"How was it?"

Alice felt embarrassed and buried her head in his chest.

"It was good."

Silas raised his eyebrows.

"Only good?"

Hearing his question Alice pinched his side.

"It was more than good."

Silas chuckled.

Just then Alice's phone rang again, this time when she took it out Silas saw who was calling.

Caller ID: Ella.

Alice frowned and put her phone back into her pocket.

Silas raised an eyebrow.

"Aren't you gonna answer?"

Alice looked up then shook her head.

"No… do you want me to?"

Silas shook his head and pulled her back in.

"No."

With that they hugged under the tree until it stopped raining a few minutes later.

"Let's go." Silas grabbed Alice's hand and pulled her along.

Alice took a few quick steps and hugged his arm.

Silas looked down and met Alice's smiling face.

The heavens usually curse my days, but when they choose to bless it… they go all out.

I've done my best… I hope you enjoyed it ;)
