After getting back to the school Alice and Silas had missed a class.
But no worries.
The following days the relationship between Bella and Edward heated up fast.
They started showing up at school together, and they hung out.
A complete one-eighty on how it was before.
Sitting at the lunch table Kate leaned in and whispered in Silas's ear.
"Are they in a hurry?"
Silas looked confused. What do you mean?
She leaned in once again.
"Didn't they… dislike each other just a couple of days ago?"
Silas shrugged his shoulders. He leaned in in return and whispered.
"Their relationship is a roller coaster, I don't really know what's going on."
Kate nodded. Fair.
Just then Alice leaned in.
"What are you gossiping about?"
"We are talking about Edward and Bella." Silas whispered.
Alice nodded.
"I got some juicy information."
Silas and Kate raised an eyebrow. Spill it!
Alice smiled and leaned in closer.
"Bella is coming over this Friday."
Kate nodded, it wasn't that big.
But Silas who knew the Cullens… "physiology" was slightly more surprised.
"Already?" He retorted.
Alice smiled and nodded.
"We are moving fast here, they might out perform us." Alice winked.
Silas smiled noncommittally. So?
Alice saw this and frowned, and her lips pouted.
The rest of the Cullens of course heard the conversation between them, they were all at the same table.
But Bella was completely in the dark.
She just saw them whisper with surprised faces.
She turned to Edward.
"What are they saying?"
Edward smirked slightly.
"Nothing of importance."
Bella raised an eyebrow but wasn't satisfied with the answer, but she didn't push, she was the new addition after all.
She had to show she knew her place.
In this manner the week passed, on Friday Silas was making his way outside when he was ambushed by Rosalie, Jasper and Emmett.
"Hello there, what's up?"
The three vampires looked at each other and smiled at him.
"You are coming to our house after school, right?" Rosalie, the speaker of the group, asked.
Silas shook his head.
"I wasn't planning on it, I was thinking of coming by tomorrow instead."
Emmett stepped forward, looked around, then grabbed Sila's shirt.
"Please brother, I beg you, come to our house after school, otherwise we have to be alone with Edward and Bella…"
Seeing their begging expression, Silas was confused.
"And how is that a problem?" He didn't quite understand.
They looked at each other.
"You know how Edward is… and Bella isn't much better."
Silas raised an eyebrow. Was this hate here in the original movies?
Silas wanted to slither out of this.
"Well… I was actually planning on doing something this afternoon…"
"Stop!" They said in unison.
"We know you don't have life nor plans. You and Alice are always together, and now all of a sudden you have plans? Think not."
Silas was confused.
First: Ouch!
Second: Stalkers!!!
"Well, I do have something to do so…" Before he could finish Emmett spoke again.
"I've already told Esme you are coming and she is cooking your favorite foods."
Silas stopped dead in his tracks.
Evil! How evil! To use such a kind woman as leverage over him!
Silas took a deep breath and pondered his next choices.
Like a devil's whisper, Jasper spoke.
"You don't want Esme to be sad when you don't show up… right?"
Gritting his teeth Silas made a choice.
"Fine… I'll come along."
Big smiles spread across Rosalie's, Jaspers's, and Emmett's faces.
Silas felt like life just got a little bleaker.
But let's look at it from a positive point of view.
He gets delicious food… and gets to hang out with Alice. Win-win.
Seeing that Silas agreed to come over they breathed a sigh of relief and left.
Silas watching them leave, sighed. You force me to come and endure the awkwardness of Bella then just leave.
I feel used…
Silas followed them outside and walked down the stairs, just then Kate appeared beside him.
"Are we leaving?" Kate asked as she fixed her backpack on her shoulder.
"Yeah." Silas said.
When they arrived at the bottom of the stairs Alice walked over, clearly happy.
"I heard you're coming over today?"
Silas nodded and smiled reluctantly.
"I was supposed to come over tomorrow… but Emmett told Esme I was coming over today so she's already made me food."
"Hahaha." Alice laughed. "You got manipulated, huh?"
Silas reached out his hand and flicked her forehead.
"Don't be cheeky, let's go."
Alice rubbed her forehead with an angry look.
"Just cause you got tricked."
Silas turned to her.
"What?"
Alice smiled and shook her head.
"Nothing…"
Silas turned back to walk to his car.
"I thought so."
Kate on the side saw this interaction and couldn't hold it in.
"Hahaha."
Both Silas and Alice looked over dissatisfied.
Kate shrank her neck and smiled embarrassedly.
"Sorry…"
Silas shook his head.
Alice turned her head away to hide her smile.
They got over to the car and got in.
Silas started the car and put it in drive.
As they turned out of the parking lot Alice turned the volume up.
Silas could tell she was happy, although they seemed mad at each other just now, they were just playing.
After all, Alice was happy he would come over.
A few minutes later they pulled up to Kate's house.
"See you on Monday, Kate." Alice said.
Kate opened the door and stepped out.
"Yeah, see you on Monday."
Silas lowered the window.
"Hey!? See you on Monday."
Kate turned back and smiled, then gave a little wave.
Seeing her step into the house Silas put the car in drive and started to roll.
Alice lowered the music volume and turned to Silas.
"Are you ready for Bella's meeting with the rest?" Alice asked with a smile.
Silas pushed the gas and looked at her.
"You're quite excited about this, aren't you?"
Alice nodded with a smile.
Silas narrowed his eyes.
"What did you see?"
Alice shrugged her shoulders.
"Whatever do you mean?"
Silas scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"If that's how you wanna play."
Alice smiled and reached out to take his hand.
Silas looked over at her and looked into her eyes, then sighed.
What a push over.
After a few minutes of a comfortable ride with nice music and hand holding, they arrived at the Cullen's house.
Silas looked around as he parked.
"It seems they haven't arrived yet." Silas said.
Alice nodded.
"Not sure where they are… they did leave before us."
Silas put the car in park and pondered.
"Maybe they drove by Bella's house?"
Alice opened her seat belt and nodded.
"Yeah… maybe."
