"Oh!!! He's going for the last spoon."
"Will he be able to take it? Or is it too big?"
"With all this meat shouldn't his throat be full?" Pause!
Alice was excitedly commentating as Silas put the last spoon of chicken stew in his mouth.
"And it goes down!!!" Alice shouted as Silas's throat rolled.
All the Cullens and Bella clapped.
Silas put down the spoon and raised his hands, gesturing that it was no problem, no need to celebrate.
He could take just as much food again, right now!
Just then Esme stepped over and grabbed a few of the plates.
"Sorry to interrupt your celebrations… but the dessert is ready."
The dining room went quiet. Isn't that a bit too much? Dessert on top of all this?
Silas took a deep breath.
"Esme… keep it rolling, I'll take it all."
Esme gave a smile and nodded.
Silas leaned back in his seat and sighed.
Alice stood up and leaned over the table, a confused expression on her face as she watched Silas's stomach.
She reached out her hand and poked it.
Rock hard.
"Where does it all go?" Alice asked.
She had pondered this multiple times.
Silas shook his head.
"I don't know… maybe into my stomach?"
Hearing this response Alice rolled her eyes.
No shit.
Just then Esme walked in with a cake form.
In it was a cake of some sort, there were even fruits or berries in it.
Esme placed it down in front of Silas.
"Can you eat right out of the form?" She asked and put down a spoon.
Silas nodded.
"No problem."
She smiled, then introduced the cake thingy.
"This is a french dessert named Clafoutis. It's basically fruit baked in pancake-like batter…"
Silas hummed in response.
He was ready.
He picked up the spoon and carved out a spoon full.
After he raised it into the air he couldn't help but sigh.
Am I ready for this? I'm already full…
Looking at Esme and Alice's expectant expression Silas cursed.
Fuck it, we ball.
He shoved it into his mouth.
And… it tasted really good.
Had it not been that he was so damn full, it would've tasted better.
Slowly he ate bite by bite.
After a painful 20 minutes he had downed the entire thing.
Swallowing the last bite he leaned back in his chair and took a deep breath to relieve the tension.
Emmett leaned forward and checked the form.
"Empty… he ate it all."
The rest of the Cullens looked surprised… shocked even.
Seeing their expressions Silas felt good about himself.
Seeing his expression Alice leaned forward with a spoon as a mic.
"Wow! What a performance, we are all very shocked and impressed…"
"Do you have any words for your fans?"
Silas glanced at her, leaned it and spoke to the spoon as if it was a mic.
"Veni, Vidi, Vici."
"This food didn't stand a chance!"
Alice smiled.
Emmett started to clap.
"Brilliant words, very inspiring!"
The rest of the Cullens followed suit and started to clap.
After the celebrations were all done, Emmett leaned in.
"Hey Silas! Now that you're full, how about we play some video games?"
Silas thought about it, and glanced over at Alice, she nodded with a smile.
"Sure."
Emmett smiled.
"Great, I've bought a new game called Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening."
"Wanna play it?"
Silas nodded.
"Yeah, let's go."
With that Silas stood up and stretched.
This food really filled him up.
He followed Emmett towards his man cave, Alice right behind.
After taking a light walk to Emmett's man cave, they arrived.
Silas slunk into the soft leather couch and groaned.
I'm too full… I don't wanna eat for weeks.
Alice sat down on his right, leaning her head on his shoulder.
Silas raised his arm and wrapped it around her.
Feeling that, Alice glanced up with a smile, and snuggled closer.
Her cool body against his was very calming.
Just then Emmett sat down.
"Alright, we need to lock in, I've heard this game has a stylish rank meter, where if you chain attacks, taunt, etc, the rank goes up."
"The rankings are: D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS."
After explaining he looked over at Silas, seeing him getting all comfortable with Alice he felt the future was bleak, and his SSS rankings were flying away.
"Silas… are you ready for this?"
Silas frowned at being questioned.
"Of course I am, I'm gonna get a perfect streak of SSS ranks."
Emmett just scoffed and shook his head.
Arrogant fool, he has no idea.
Emmett clicked start.
The game started.
Thirty minutes later Emmett smiled confidently.
"Is this the first boss fight?"
He led Dante through the big doors and a text appeared on the screen.
Ice Guardian, Cerberus.
He walked forward, then a huge three headed dog, covered in ice, broke out from the ice in the front.
It was also in chains.
The dog roared and lashed forward, stopped by the chains.
Then it started to talk.
"Leave now mortal!"
"The likes of you are forbidden in these lands!"
"You who are powerless are not worthy to step foot here."
Dante walked to the side in the cutscene and said.
"Wow! I've never seen a talking mutt before."
"You know, in a dog show you'd definitely take first place."
Cerberus got mad.
"You, a mere human, make a mockery of me!?"
Then he sent out an ice breath flying towards Dante who side stepped, making it hit the wall.
Which he responded.
"Easy, Fido!"
"How about I take you out for a walk?"
"Come on puppy, let's go!"
This just antagonized Cerberus more.
"You'll regret this, you worm!"
And the cut scene ended.
Silas looked over at Emmett.
"Do you want help with this one?" He asked.
Emmett shook his head.
"No, I got this."
Silas nodded.
Emmett hadn't died yet, so he had only gone against some weaker enemies he got to try.
But if Emmett could take them, then him making a move was redundant.
But as the fight went on, Emmett struggled more and more.
He never even got a B in style. Truly terrible.
Before he could comment, Emmett died.
"Damn! The ice mutt got me!"
Silas smiled.
"My turn."
Emmett glanced over and reluctantly handed over the controller.
Silas smirked.
Now it was his turn to do the fight.
The cutscene rolled, and then it was sharp.
Silas dodged the first attack and then ran up, cutting the dog with his sword.
As the fight went on his style ranking just got better and better.
First it was just around C-B… but then he started to get the hang of it, pushing it to consistently give him A-S… and even one SS.
"How are you so good!?" Emmett asked in disbelief.
"Have you played this before?"
He couldn't help but be suspicious.
Silas shook his head.
"No, I'm just better."
Emmett clicked his tongue.
Watching their interaction, Alice chuckled.
Just then Silas beat the boss.
"And just like that… Fido's dead."
Emmett let out a chuckle, ha, but then realized he wasn't happy, and scowled.
Before he could retort, the door opened.
It was Esme.
"Time to wrap it up, it's getting late."
Emmett glanced over at Silas who was cuddling with Alice.
"Hand me back the controller."
He couldn't help but gloat, Silas helped him beat the boss and then didn't get to play, tsk.
Silas rolled his eyes and gave back the controller.
He then stood up and stretched.
"See you later Emmett."
"Yeah."
Then Silas walked out, Alice right behind.
As the door closed and Emmett was all alone in his mancave he couldn't help but feel a little lonely.
It's true, you don't know what you've lost until it's too late.
He no longer wanted to keep playing.
Silas on the other hand had just said goodbye to Alice and was sitting in his car.
Another successful night.
And he avoided Bella perfectly. Zero interaction.
Perfect.
He then put the car in drive and drove off.
...
Enjoy. Mwah~
CHAPTER END.
