Chapter 76 - I Hold The Sun and Moon In My Hands

As they kept talking Alice shifted the conversation to Port Angeles.

She asked Kate if she wanted to come along on Wednesday.

"Hey, Kate, would you like to tag along with me and Silas to Port Angeles this Wednesday?"

Kate was quiet for a second.

"What would we be doing?"

Alice shrugged her shoulders.

"Shopping, watch a movie, eat some food, anything really."

Kate looked out the window.

"Sure, I don't mind."

Alice smiled.

"Great!"

Just then they arrived at school.

As Silas parked he jokingly said.

"Are you ready for another week of school?"

He didn't get an answer, he was totally ignored.

Why ask such stupid things?

Time flowed, classes passed, the sun rose and fell.

Soon it was Wednesday morning.

Silas did his usual morning routine.

After eating his lovely breakfast he made his way to his car, today was gonna be a fun day… right?

Silas wasn't so sure.

They still hadn't decided what to do in Port Angeles.

Are we gonna have to freestyle?

Silas started the car and put it in drive.

We'll see.

A few minutes later he arrived at the Cullens house.

Alice was already waiting.

She has been very excited this entire week, it seems she really wants to go to Port Angeles and have some fun.

Alice got in with a smile and gave Silas a kiss.

"Are you ready for Port Angeles later?" Alice asked.

"Yeah…" he responded.

"But we still haven't decided on what to do."

Alice nodded.

"I'll ask Kate later what she wants to do."

Silas pursed his lips.

"Haven't you asked that the last two days?"

"She still hasn't answered."

Alice hummed.

"Yeah… but it's fine, it will be fun as long as we all do something together."

Silas smiled.

You're really optimistic.

Alice seemed to feel his scepticism and turned up the volume.

Silas shook his head.

Drowning out reality won't work.

A few songs later they arrived at Kate's house.

She was standing ready at the front.

Alice turned down the volume as they got closer and smiled.

"See? She has even dressed up, she does want this Port Angeles trip."

Silas scoffed.

"So… just cause she's dressed she wants to go to Port Angeles?"

"Have you double checked your logic?"

Alice ignored him. Too negative, a real pessimist.

As they came to a stop, Kate walked over and sat down in the back seat.

She still had that heavy and quite frankly oversized backpack.

Alice turned back.

"Are you excited for Port Angeles later?"

Kate smiled, she did… look excited.

Was I wrong? Silas felt unsure.

Alice obviously also noticed this and glanced over at him with a smug expression.

See? I know better than you!

Silas shook his head as he turned to look out the window.

Was he a sore loser?

Yes.

He had little experience in losing so he had never had the chance to become good at it.

Silas put the car in drive.

"Let's go. And put a seatbelt on."

Alice chuckled and sat down, and strapped in.

Alice and Kate kept talking about the Port Angeles trip the entire way.

And they both grew more and more excited as they talked.

But… Silas was in self doubt and disbelief.

Was I really wrong?

Hateful.

Just then they arrived at the school.

After parking Silas walked right behind Alice and Kate as they discussed plans.

When they got inside Alice turned around and gave him a kiss.

"Let's meet at lunch." Alice said.

Silas smiled.

"Of course."

After they all separated Silas headed towards math.

Emmett had pestered him to come over basically everyday now.

This guy couldn't get past the next boss.

Gigapeded, a large ugly insect.

As he walked into math he was spotted by Emmett immediately.

A bit like spawn camping.

Before he could even sit down he started talking excitedly.

"I beat the boss last night, I just needed to jump on its back and ride it so I could attack from there."

Silas pulled out his chair.

"Good morning to you too."

Emmett smiled embarrassedly.

"Sorry. Good morning."

"So I got onto its back, and then attacked it, at the same time I dodged the electric blasts it sent out."

"It was majestic."

Silas couldn't hold in his laugh.

"Haha, majestic? I don't believe it."

Emmett glanced over angrily.

"What do you mean? Do you doubt me?"

Silas nodded.

"Yeah, heavily."

Emmett couldn't help but feel embertassed.

Did he weigh that little in Silas's heart? He doesn't even believe I can defeat a video game boss majestically?

I mean… it was all bullshit, I didn't defeat it majestically… but still.

No faith!?

Silas opened his math book.

"Do you wanna be honest?"

Emmett closed his eyes for a second.

Should I stand on business?

Do I go the stubborn route?

No…

"Okay… I didn't win majestically, it was by a hair… "

Silas nodded.

"That I can believe."

Emmett cursed in his heart.

"You don't leave me any dignity?"

Hearing that Silas scoffed.

"I've seen you play, what dignity do you have in front of me?"

The table got eerily quiet.

"Thanks… for the encouragement." Emmett said and kicked Silas's tibia.

"Ouch~"

"What was that for?" Silas asked, annoyed.

Emmett rolled his eyes.

"That's for you being such an ass."

Silas cursed.

"What are you? My little wife?"

Emmett raised his chin.

"Maybe… what if I am?"

Silas was taken aback. No brother, did you hear what I said?

Seeing Silas's strange expression Emmett also realized what he said didn't make any sense.

He was just too caught up in the moment.

"Alright… forget that." He said hesitantly.

"Agreed." Silas didn't feel like continuing this conversation.

The rest of the class was unusually quiet.

They both wisely chose to shut up.

After class Silas stood at his locker and watched his schedule.

English.

Isn't that with Rosalie… awkward.

He grabbed his English books and made his way there.

Silas arrived before Rosalie and found his seat.

He flipped through the English textbook and searched for something interesting to read to pass the time.

Just then he got startled by a loud bang.

It was Rosalie, looking dissatisfied, who dropped her books on the desk.

"Hello…" Silas tentatively said.

Rosalie glared at him and sat down.

Silas pondered and decided to take a risk.

"What got you so upset?"

Rosalie clicked her tongue.

"You, Emmett…"

Silas felt bad.

"Us? Why?"

Rosalie crossed her arms in front of her chest.

"Emmett, just play that stupid game… and it's all your fault."

Silas felt that this blame was undeserved.

"How is it my fault he doesn't spend time with you, but a game?"

Rosalie bit her lip in anger.

"Why? Cause you urge him."

Silas was even more confused.

"How?"

Rosalie tapped her finger on her arm.

"You made him play more."

Silas kissed his teeth. No harm without comparison.

"Sorry… but I don't think that's my fault."

"Why don't you play with him? It could be a common hobby."

Rosalie rolled her eyes.

"I can't play video games."

Silas nodded, trying to come off as understanding and helpful.

"But can't you learn? Think of all the quality time you could have with Emmett then?"

Rosalie bumped her leg up and down.

"You… I'll think about it."

Silas sighed inwardly.

"You don't have to tell me that."

Just then the teacher walked in, and they both became quiet.

Maybe I can push the troublesome Emmett onto his wife, so he can pest her to play games.

Yes!

I'm a genius!

That's the last chapter for this week!

I only managed five chapters this week. School's been brutal, but I really appreciate all the support :)

I'll be back next week with more.

Hope you enjoyed this week's chapters. Mwah~
