Soon the class came to an end, and Silas packed up his stuff.
Since the start of the class Rosalie hadn't been able to talk to him, which is a win.
Sadly he wasn't quite fast enough out.
"Silas… " Rosalie called his name.
Sigh.
"Yes, Rosalie."
She came up to his side and followed along.
"Do you think it will work?"
Silas frowned.
"What?"
Rosalie clicked her tongue.
"What you said about me playing with Emmett."
Silas stayed calm on the outside but inside he was happy.
My plot is working!
As long as I can push this disaster Emmett on his wife, I've practically won the lottery.
"Yeah, I think it would be a great couple activity."
Rosalie bit her lip.
"I will think about it…" Then she turned down another corridor.
Silas shook his head.
Why are you telling me this?
Am I some relationship coach? Do I need to start asking for money?
He couldn't help but smile to himself.
Call me Aizen the way I am building a false reality around Rosalie.
Haha.
The second she starts to play with Emmett, it's game over, I've won.
And it was all part of my plan.
As Silas was basking in his conceitedness he suddenly felt a pair of gentle hands wrap around his waist.
"What makes you so happy? Smiling all to yourself?"
Silas stopped.
"Thanks for the encouragement, Alice."
Alice stepped to the side and hugged his arm.
"I was just meaning, it's kinda weird to walk around smiling to yourself."
Silas's face darkened.
"You're not encouraging."
Alice pulled his arm.
"Let's just go to lunch."
Silas rolled his eyes.
"I just need to leave my stuff in my locker."
Alice pulled him along to his locker and Silas quickly put the English textbook, notebook, etc into the locker.
"Ready?" Alice asked.
Silas hummed.
As they started to walk towards the cafeteria Alice couldn't keep her curiosity in check.
"So… what were you smiling about earlier?"
Silas licked his lips and smiled.
"I was thinking about something funny."
Alice rolled her eyes. No shit!
She glared at Silas, demanding an answer.
Silas curled his lips. Fine… be boring.
"I am plotting to get free."
Alice raised an eyebrow.
"Free?"
Silas nodded.
"Yeah, I'll tell you after it works, I promise you'll laugh."
Alice seemed satisfied with the answer.
"But what if it doesn't work?"
Silas leaned in and kissed her cheek.
"Then I'll tell you."
Alice got happy with the answer, there was some more bounce to her step.
Soon they arrived at the usual meet up spot.
Kate was already there, along with Bella and Edward.
The atmosphere was really awkward.
Alice didn't seem to notice and just smiled.
"Hey! Bella! How are you?" She asked.
Bella frowned slightly.
"Ehm, hmm, yeah, no, it's good."
Alice just smiled.
Silas watching this scene couldn't help but roll his eyes.
Luckily Jasper and Ella arrived to save the conversation.
Just behind was Rosalie and Emmett.
"Are we ready?" Ella asked.
Everyone nodded and started to make their way to the cafeteria.
When they entered the cafeteria Silas, Alice and Kate made their way towards the line.
"Do you really need to eat this stuff?" Alice asked.
Silas glanced over at her.
"Of course, I like apples… even if they taste like flour mixed with apple flavour."
"Kinda gross… but it grows on you."
Hearing what Silas said Alice frowned.
That sounds really disgusting.
She then turned to Kate.
"What about you?"
Kate sighed.
"I get really hungry unless I eat."
"And then I can't focus… and I get annoyed."
Alice pursed her lips. Maybe it was lucky she didn't need to eat, just drink animal blood now and then.
After getting their stuff, they made their way back to the table.
The lunch passed quite calmly, not even any spicy conversations.
Only Ella asked about Alice, me and Kate's outing later.
"So, you're all going to Port Angeles?"
Alice nodded.
"Yeah.
Ella frowned.
"To do what?"
Alice shook her shoulders.
"We'll figure it out when we get there."
After we were done with lunch Alice pulled me towards art.
As we headed towards the art classroom.
"Did you feel that Rosalie was acting weird?"
"She didn't really say anything, she just kept tapping the table in a daze."
Hearing Alice's concern Silas shook his shoulders.
"It's probably nothing, you know how she is."
Alice leaned her head on his shoulder as they walked.
"Probably…"
Just then they arrived at the art classroom, the teacher was there in high energy like usual.
"Ahh! Alice and Silas, are you ready for this art class?"
Seeing the teacher's excited expression, Silas felt tired, like she was siphoning his energy.
How can you be this excited and happy all the time?
Alice somehow returned the energy and talked about how excited we were.
Spoiler! We were not.
Because today we were going to do abstract art.
This isn't art, it's just throwing pain on a canvas and hoping others find an artistic intent.
Ahh it's got such colors, and the way it's twisted, simply marvelous!
Look at the palate of colors, how do you achieve such a color matching!?
It's just larping, they aren't seeing anything, they see the same puke of color as we do.
But just because the one who threw the paint is famous, it all of a sudden "looks good".
It's just lies, it's to deceive others and yourself.
The ultimate realm of this type of "art connoisseur" is to deceive yourself and thus everyone around them.
Then they make others feel bad cause they can't see the "art"
Terrible.
Alice dragged him over to their seat, and then went to collect all the colors.
Looking at the different oil paints, and how all the students had their own set, Silas felt that it was a waste of money.
To scribble some paint on a white canvas they need all of that?
Just to what? Express their inner desire and artistic inspiration?
Silas crossed his arms and looked at the white canvas in front of him.
What should I paint?
Haha! Who am I kidding? Just splash some paint on it and call it a day.
...
New week, new chapters.
Hope you enjoy the chapter. Mwah~
