"Whooo~ I like this song, let's turn it up." Alice said and leaned forward to turn up the volume.
They were now half way to Port Angeles.
Silas didn't mind the music, and neither did Kate.
Alice slowly started to vibe, swaying side to side.
Kate who was sitting in the back saw this and was pulled along.
Soon she was also vibing, swaying side to side.
Alice looked over at Silas.
He was the only one who was sitting still.
Seeing both Alice and Kate looking at him, he smiled slightly, then started to sway left and right as he drove.
After the song ended they burst into laughter.
A few songs later and they drove into Port Angeles.
"Where are we going?" Silas asked.
Alice put on a thoughtful expression.
"Maybe shopping?"
Kate nodded.
"I'm fine with anything."
Alice smiled.
"Shopping it is."
Silas drove around for a little while then found a parking spot.
After Silas parked they all slowly got out.
Silas stood on the sidewalk and stretched.
But before he could say anything he heard a voice call out from a bit away.
"Aliens! Aliens! They are real! We have proof!"
Two men in their mid to late twenties stood beside an RV that was painted with a green alien head.
A crowd had started to gather around them, then a man around their age stepped forward, he wore a mocking smile.
"So? What is the evidence you speak of?"
The man who had been shouting was caught off guard. Someone wanted to listen?
Just then Alice grabbed Silas's arm.
"Let's go."
But Silas didn't move.
"Wait, let's watch this first."
Alice frowned and glanced at the two weirdos.
"Really? They are clearly insane."
Silas nodded.
"Sure… but they are funny."
Seeing his firm expression Alice sighed.
They walked over and stood in the crowd, Kate was also excited, she found this interesting.
This was also one of the reasons Alice was able to go along with this.
The alien hunter that had been questioned frowned.
"We have pictures of victims."
The man who had mockingly asked the question to them then sneered.
"Sure… victims, just some losers feeding for attention or bonafide crazy persons."
The alien hunter gritted his teeth and turned to the other man and nodded.
He stepped inside and soon came out with a file.
They put the file on the foldable table they had placed in front.
"Here's proof, victims, dead ones, they've all been drained of blood."
"If it's not aliens, what could it be?"
Hearing this Silas looked over at Alice with a raised eyebrow.
Alice wore a shocked expression and turned to Silas.
Their eyes met in the middle.
The man who had been mocking and dismissive at first stepped forward to look at the pictures.
"This… it could just be regular murders. You know, a serial killer modus operandi or signature."
The two alien hunters shook their heads.
"No, it's very hard to do this, the chances of a serial killer succeeding in this without decapitation is unlikely."
The man frowned. He just didn't believe in aliens… he wasn't some expert.
"I… I don't know, I still don't believe it's aliens:"
Hearing the man's denial the two alien hunters simply shook their heads in disappointment.
"A shame."
Then a woman stepped forward.
"You bring out all this evidence, but have you two actually seen anything?"
Hearing this question the two men got excited.
They looked at each other and nodded.
"Of course we have."
"A few months ago we were out in the woods where an alien sighting had been, it was late and dark."
"Then as we wandered around we started hearing noises, and then we saw it."
The air was heavy with suspense, even the woman who was questioning them was holding her breath.
"It had red eyes, it moved at incredible speeds. We didn't get a good look at it, but we both saw it:"
Quiet…
Then the woman burst out laughing.
"Hahah."
"I mean an actual sighting, not you two wandering the woods high as the empire state building and hallucinating."
Everyone around also let out some nervous chuckles.
They didn't want to believe the two men. It was easier to label them as drug addicted weirdos.
The two men got angry, clearly feeling insulted.
"We aren't some damn crackheads!"
"We saw it, for real!"
The woman waved her hand.
"Yeah, yeah. I'm leaving." She then turned to leave.
Silas in the audience kept glancing at Alice and letting out suppressed laughs.
Alice frowned at him and leaned it to whisper in his ear.
"These two idiots have actually seen vampires."
Silas nodded.
"That's what's so funny about it."
Then Silas thought of something and leaned in to whisper in Alice's ear.
"Are you by chance… an alien?"
Hearing what Silas said Alice rolled her eyes and let out a scoff.
Unbelievable, joking at a time like this.
Seeing that the crow was leaving Silas felt reluctant.
The show was so good.
He stepped forward and said.
Alice watched Silas step forward to ask the lunatics questions and wanted to stop him, but it was too late.
She could only watch as Silas asked his question.
"Hey!? What do you do about chemtrails from airplanes?"
The two men heard the question and their eyes lit up. Was this a fellow conspiracy believer?
"Ohhh~ That's a difficult one, you need to be careful when it rains, never go out when it rains."
"Yeah, and also, don't drink the tap water… it's poisoned, it has all kinds of stuff in it… we've heard from reputable sources it might turn you into a frog."
Silas felt his lips twitch.
"Yeah… " He then looked around and focused on a bird, then he looked back at the two men.
This didn't escape their sharp eyes.
Silas then asked with a fearful expression.
"Aren't you afraid they will hear you?"
The two men smiled, then raised their heads.
"No! We are not afraid of the government, we are just trying to spread the truth, and will not be intimidated."
Silas nodded.
"Good work you two." He gave them a thumbs up and walked back to Alice.
When he arrived beside Alice, she quickly grabbed a hold of him and dragged him away.
"What were you doing egging them on like that?"
Silas smiled.
"Wasn't it fun?"
Kate who was walking beside them with a smile nodded.
"It was fun."
Alice pouted.
"Not you too, Kate."
Kate just shrugged in response.
Alice saw this and turned back to Silas.
"It's sad about them, they are clearly challenged."
Silas was just about to refuse when Kate swooped into the rescue.
"Alice, it doesn't matter, you can't change the mind of people like that."
"Even if you have proof, they're just gonna say it's fake, that you're trying to trick them."
Alice frowned.
Silas saw this and leaned in and gave her a kiss.
"Don't worry about that, let's go shopping."
Alice nodded.
"Yeah."
...
Haha.
Enjoy. Mwah~
