Freaking out over his small Chakra reserves was pointless.

Rokuro forced himself to calm down. He looked at the [Ninjutsu Level 1] stat on his panel.

Think about it. Leveling up Taijutsu physically altered my body and massively increased my strength and stamina.

Therefore, leveling up Ninjutsu will definitely increase my total Chakra capacity and spiritual energy.

However, he didn't have the 10,000 EXP required to upgrade his Ninjutsu stat right now. He would have to grind for a while. For now, there was a more pressing theory he needed to test:

If EXP instantly restores physical stamina, does it also restore Chakra?

To find out, he needed to empty his tank.

He walked to an open space in the center of the training room. The fastest way to burn Chakra for a beginner was to spam Jutsu. He formed the Ram, Snake, and Tiger hand signs to execute the Clone Jutsu (Bunshin).

Poof!

A pathetic wisp of white smoke drifted up from the floor. Nothing else happened.

Rokuro's face darkened.

He immediately checked the System log.

Ding!

[Skill Unlocked: Clone Jutsu (Level 1)]

[Progress: 0 / 1,000 EXP]

Without hesitating, Rokuro dumped 1,000 EXP into the skill.

[Clone Jutsu Level 1 ➔ Level 2]

Instantly, the precise flow of Chakra required for the Jutsu flooded his mind. It wasn't just theory; it was ingrained muscle memory.

Following the new instincts, he molded his Chakra and wove the hand signs again.

Poof!

A perfect, intangible illusion of Kanda Rokuro appeared beside him.

Excellent. The System was as reliable as ever. It would have been humiliating to fail a basic Academy Jutsu.

Since he was already burning Chakra, he decided to unlock the others.

He practiced the Transformation Jutsu (Henge) and the Substitution Jutsu (Kawarimi). Half an hour later, he had digitized both skills and dumped EXP into them.

He now had all three basic Jutsu at Level 2.

Having set up his skills, he went back to his primary objective: draining his Chakra.

He spammed his newly upgraded Jutsu back-to-back. Ten minutes later, his reserves were running dangerously low. He felt a throbbing headache creeping in—the classic symptom of Chakra exhaustion.

He had roughly 1,800 EXP left in his stockpile.

He allocated exactly 100 EXP directly into his Ninjutsu stat.

Almost immediately, the throbbing in his head vanished. He felt a surge of energy within his coils. Within ten seconds, his Chakra reserves were completely topped off.

Rokuro let out a massive sigh of relief.

It works.

As long as he had EXP, he effectively had infinite Chakra potions. His low maximum capacity didn't matter as much if he could instantly reload mid-fight.

Besides, this was just the beginning. In the future, if he managed to acquire Hashirama Cells or Tsunade's Strength of a Hundred Seal (Byakugō), Chakra capacity would become a non-issue entirely.

Feeling infinitely better, Rokuro left his room to hit the training field.

Because Okamoto had dragged him out of bed so early for the evaluation, he still hadn't completed his Daily Quests.

Two hours later, he finished the reps, claimed his 600 EXP, and returned to his room. It was time to examine the real prize: the scroll Captain Kuro had given him.

He unrolled the heavy parchment.

It wasn't a standard Ninjutsu. It was Nintaijutsu—a technique that combined Chakra manipulation with physical combat.

The technique was designed purely for explosive speed. By concentrating a massive burst of Chakra into the soles of the feet and releasing it instantaneously, the user could achieve a terrifying, instantaneous acceleration.

In the canon plot, Kakashi taught Naruto and Sasuke to focus a steady stream of Chakra to their feet to walk on trees and water. This Nintaijutsu—named "Tyrant Step" (Bōkō Jutsu)—was the exact opposite. It was about violent, unstable release.

Judging by the complexity of the Chakra flow described in the scroll, Rokuro estimated this was at least a B-Rank technique.

To properly execute it in combat without blowing your own legs off required the physical durability and Chakra control of a Chūnin or higher. Kuro likely didn't expect a four-year-old to master it. If Rokuro could just grasp the concept and successfully execute it once or twice before Kuro returned, the Anbu Captain would undoubtedly be impressed. Using it for extended travel was strictly Jōnin territory.

But Rokuro had no intention of stopping at "grasping the concept."

He had the System. The Tyrant Step was an elite evasion and assassination tool. It was premium-grade Jutsu. He was going to master it. And if he mastered it before Kuro returned, the Anbu Captain would definitely take him on as a true disciple, securing Rokuro the ultimate backer in Root.

He stood up and began the practical application.

For the System to recognize and digitize a skill, the user had to successfully perform the fundamental mechanics at least once.

His first few attempts failed completely. He gathered the Chakra in his feet, but couldn't trigger the explosive release. The System remained silent.

He adjusted the flow and tried again. And again.

On his sixth attempt, the Chakra flared violently beneath his sandals.

Bang!

The floorboards cracked, and Rokuro was launched forward about 0.1 meters before stumbling. It was a pathetic distance, but the mechanics were correct.

Ding!

[Skill Unlocked: Tyrant Step (Level 1)]

[Progress: 0 / 4,000 EXP]

Rokuro let out a long breath. Got it.

He immediately stopped practicing. There was no point in manually training a B-Rank Jutsu and risking injury when he could just buy the mastery with EXP.

Kuro wouldn't return for another two months. Sixty days.

At a minimum of 500 EXP per day, he would accumulate 30,000 EXP. That was more than enough to upgrade his core Ninjutsu stat to Level 2 and push the Tyrant Step to Level 3, with plenty left over for emergencies.

Despite having learned Chakra Molding, the Three Basic Jutsu, and a B-Rank Nintaijutsu all in one morning, Rokuro decided to keep his mouth shut.

According to Okamoto, it usually took a talented child a full week just to sense and mold their first wisp of Chakra. If Rokuro announced he had done it in three seconds, Danzo wouldn't just recruit him—he'd strap him to an operating table and dissect him.

So, Rokuro played the long game.

For the next five days, aside from completing his Daily Quests in the yard, he locked himself in his room, pretending to be deep in frustrating meditation.

On the sixth day, he finally approached Okamoto, acting exhausted but proud, and announced he had successfully molded Chakra.

This specific timing told Okamoto: I'm very talented, but I'm still within the realm of human logic.

Okamoto was visibly a little disappointed that Rokuro wasn't an absolute god-tier anomaly, but that was exactly the reaction Rokuro wanted. He sighed in relief internally.

Next, Rokuro informed Okamoto that he wanted to delay learning the Three Basic Jutsu to focus entirely on Captain Kuro's scroll.

Okamoto agreed immediately. He knew Rokuro's primary goal was to secure Kuro as his master—which aligned perfectly with Okamoto's own goal of getting a promotion. To ensure Rokuro wasn't distracted, Okamoto even ordered the kitchen staff to deliver all of Rokuro's meals directly to his door. He wouldn't even have to walk to the cafeteria.

The grind was fully optimized.
