Jay's POV
Sara: "Okay we will not talk about him anymore, now tell me since we have a day off, what do you want to do?"
Jay: "I don't know, anything"
Sara: "Don't be a lazy goose, Come on go take a bath, we are going out" she said and pushed me into the bathroom.
Honestly I am grateful for Sara because I have someone to lean on to moments like these.
I went and took a bath and came get dressed up and something caught my eye in my wardrobe, I took it it was the pendant that he gave before everything had happened, and instantly tears filled my eyes, why did he have to do that, why did have to lie to me, it would have been better if he hadn't come in my life.
I still didn't understand why I kept that pendant with me, was it a reminder of us? Or was it a reminder to never trust him again.
I know it has been 8 years since it has happened, I should have been able to forget everything and move on, But I don't know why I couldn't, along with my trust he took my ability to move on I guess.
Then I heard Sara's voice from outside, telling me to come fast, I quickly wiped my tears and got ready and went out.
Sara: "Ready?"
I nodded and asked, " Where are we going?"
Sara: "actually we going to cafe to have some food, then we are going to the movies and after that we are going with the flow, By the way you look so pretty"
I smiled and said, "Thanks"
We started our trip to cafe, we went to a cozy one and had good breads and coffee and had a good talk about our irritating company and after that we made our way to the movie, it was a comedy movie and we had our laughs.
After the movie we decided to do some shopping, and got ourselves some dresses and we went to the food court
Sara: "What do you want to eat?"
Jay: "Anything you get it, I will sit here my legs are aching"
Sara: "Okay" she said and went to get our food, and I was sitting in the table, I noticed someone's shadow was falling on me,
I looked up to see someone, I didn't want to see, It was David. I was about to get up and move,
David: "Jay, please wait"
Jay: "Why should I wait and talk to you?"
David: "Jay I know you are angry, But what did I do? I was you friend right"
What he said was right, I was angry on Keifer for what he did, it wasn't David's fault but he was still friends with Keifer.
Jay: "David it's not Jay anymore, it's Ashtine and You are right we were friends, But you were friends with Jay and she is not here anymore"
David: "Jay please"
I felt sorry, I know it wasn't his fault so I just sat back again. He too took his seat opposite to me,
David: "How have you been?"
Jay: "It's good"
David: "Also congratulations on the award"
Jay: "Thanks" I gave him a smile
David: "You know Kei-"
I cut him off by saying, "If you are going to talk about him, Please leave, I am not interested"
David: "Okay sorry I will not talk about him, Are you still in touch with your mom?"
Jay: "No"
David: "Actually Jay, I have an offer for you"
Jay: "What?"
David: "We need an architect for our new project and we were fixed on hiring the person who wins the architect award, So would like to consider the position?"
Jay: "You mean in his company?"
David nodded his head
Jay: "Are for serious?"
David: "Jay, this has nothing to do with your personal lives, It has been already decided even before the event took place and it will only be professional collaboration"
Jay: "with all due respect, I kindly decline this offer"
David: "Jay don't mix your professional life with the personal one, I know you are capable of it, I will send you a mail regarding it, just think about it. And I will leave now" he said and I nodded and he left and I felt someone was looking at me.
Sara came after a minute with our food,
Sara: "What happened to you?"
Nothing I was just hungry,
And both of us started eating, and after that we went to the apartment and slept in.
KEIFER's Pov:
I was still dizzy from the sleeping pill and finally woke up and my head was spinning a little, Then I remembered everything all the events that took place the night before, I met my Jay after 8 years. And tears started pouring from my eyes.
I quickly got up from my bed and ran downstairs and was about to go get my car but I was stopped by David,
David: "Where are you going?"
Keifer: "What do you mean where, I am going to Jay"
David : "Okay, Stop right here"
Keifer: "No, why would I do that" I said angrily
David: "First thing she doesn't want to see you and I have something about Her I need to tell you"
I calmed and went down and sat with him,
David: "Okay, Here are things I found about her, She moved here 8 years before when the incident took place, she struggled and finally found a job in a mid size architect firm,and she also have a mini home bakery and she changed her whole identity and her new name is Ashtine, that is why you weren't able to find anything about her in the past years" he finished
Keifer: "But why did she change her name? I want to meet her"
David: "No wait, that's the plan, I don't think she will talk to, if you just simply go to her, let's offer her a job in our firm"
Keifer: "How will she accept it?"
David: "She have to"
Keifer: "Will she not hate me more if we do that"
David: "She will be seeing you daily, and as far as I know you both still belong with each other, so don't rush into things.
I nodded because what David said was right.
David: "Okay she is in the mall right now, I will go and try to have a talk with her"
Keifer: "I will also come"
David: "You will ruin the plan"
Keifer: " No, I will just watch her afar"
David: "Okay"
Both of us went to the mall and David went to talk with Jay, And I was standing afar and admiring my love who is far away from but not for long, She has matured from the college girl, she looked beautiful and her hair was longer and she could still take my breathe away just from there.
Keifer: "I really miss you Jay, Please come back. I Love you"
