Night.
Full moon again,and my trip towards Enid's terrace was on again, since that first time we interacted we closed by really well, we're close friends to a good extent.
Even she told me about her past and insecurities,of course with the promise of not telling Ajax.
A book in my hand like always, this time "Historia de amor turbio." A novel in a first person perspective of the main character Luis Rohan having romantic feelings for his two sisters,disturbing, but that's what the name implies.
"Uh?" I raised my head watching the terrace as I heard a cello, the solo being a moody Gothic style of a song I certainly know.
After a quick climb I sat at the head of one the gargoyles,the reason of the music not being one another than Wednesday who was too focused to even realize I was there.
And as more of the solo progressed I noticed how a hand,just a hand, was the one moving the sheets.
"Figures..." I muttered still not wanting to break her concentration as I knew the song was about to finish.
This kept going for some 30 seconds more until she ended,raising her hand while the moon finally stood tall over us.
The big window opened and Enid got out,staring at the cello.
"Bravo! Bravo! I loved the cover!" I said applauding with both hands.
"Didn't thought someone like you would like Rolling stones..." I said while Wednesday stared at me with an empty stare and Enid with a smile.
"Just when I thought I'd was free from you." Enid said with fake sarcastic tone as I looked down on both of them.
"How did you get in here?" Wednesday asked standing up from her seat.
"Are stalking me perchance?" She asked fast,but her tone revealed she was just being sharp.
"I should be asking how are you here, are you Enid's roommate?" I asked watching at the girl with a saturation of colors.
"Yes she's my new roommate." She said watching Wednesday and me.
"And you look like you know eachother...?" She asked,her slightly turning to the 'are you like that?' side.
"Yeah she stabbed me in the neck and painted the floor red with me neck as our first interaction..."
"Weird." Enid said hearing how my tone wasn't sarcastic at all, and how Wednesday didn't deny it.
But before she could confirm it, the reason of why I'm here howling to the full moon.
"Why aren't wolfing out?" Wednesday asked while walking towards the guards of the terrace,staring at the full moon.
Enid looked at me in some sort of ask for comfort, which I only replied with a shrug of shoulders,but if she needed the push I would push her.
"Because she can't." I said bluntly.
"My mother said some are late bloomers and all..." Enid said also leaning on the guards of the terrace.
"Seen the best Lycanologist..." She continued, and with the need of not being left out I stepped on the guard,walking the broad rock,and sitting next to Wednesday.
"And she said there's the change I may never wolf out..."
"And then?" Wednesday asked.
"I'd be a lone wolf, no pack to be with..." Enid said looking down.
"I see one downsides and millions of upsides..." Wednesday replied.
"You don't do you?! I'd be kicked out of my family pack, no chance of finding a mate and eventually die alone..."
"We all die alone..." Wednesday said,her tone certainly saying the truth if it wasn't that I exist.
Enid this time didn't say anything and just looked down,her shaky breaths as she started crying.
I stepped over her on the guards and jumped down to softly pat her on the back.
"Enid I already told you I'd be there when you die ok? I wouldn't miss something that important."
"Why do you cry over this? Everyone dies at some point." Wednesday said, Gosh she can be dense.
"Because I'm upset and I cry when I'm upset..." Enid said under her shaky cries.
"Don't you cry Wednesday? Or the only liquid you produce is blood?" I asked while softly brushing Enid's back in an attempt of comforting her.
"A week after Halloween..."
"I took my pet Nero out for his afternoon stroll..."
"And some kids ambushed us..."
"They thought what a freak would have a scorpion as a pet..."
"Some held me dowm and made watch the others..."
"They ran over Nero again and again until it stopped moving in pain..."
"It started snowing when I buried what was left of him..."
"I cried my little black heart out..."
"But my tears didn't brought him back. Which is why I vowed to never do it again."
I looked down,also remembering the only lost I cried about, not that I was even able to know she died, but once she stopped talking I knew not much could be said.
Nothing suggested she was moved away, and the fact that they intensed their 'experiments' made it clear to me.
"You're secret is safe with me..." Enid said under her breath.
"I'm sorry Wednesday, I understand the loss..." I said watching at anything at all.
"I still think you're both weird as shit..." Enid said with a smile coming back to her face.
"Yeah eat shit dog!" I said giving her a loud pat on the back,even when it was strong enough to make someone squeal in pain,she only turned to and gave me the same treatment,hitting a punch to the gut hard enough to make my guts explode in the inside.
"I must ask..." Wednesday said looking over to me, the sound of the hit being too strong to just ignore it as the other time she stabbed my neck.
"Why you're not dead?" Wednesday asked while she watched my neck.
"No matter how much I looked into it,there's no change anyone could survive that."
"Well Wednesday you see, I'm what people call immortal."
"You're what people call a liar." She quickly fired back.
"I'm serious... I'm dead serious when I tell you nothing will ever kill me..." I said making a gesture while passing my hand over my neck.
"I still can't believe you..." She said looking over to the moon.
"Now you're just teasing me..."
"Then prove it then, showcase immortality." She said leaning on the stone guard again.
"And how would I!" I yelled before I looked at her leaning on the stone guard, clearly getting the hint.
"Wait no!" Enid said trying to grab me, keyword:try. Because I was already mid air when both of them looked down.
My body was like pieces of Lego, only somewhat close as my clothes kept my limbs close to my body,which meant I could just put them back to my body instead of growing them back,which would be my usual way.
I quickly climbed up the stone wall,two months here already made me the expert as I ended pulling myself up the guards with ease.
"Ugh you better pray the principal didn't see you jump! You know how much trouble I got the first time?" Enid said in a scolding tone raising her claws at me.
"Well I believe you." Wednesday said behind Enid,who looked like she was just about to cut me open.
"I wasn't able to go out with Ajax for the whole month for your little trick!" Enid yelled again at me,swinging her claws at me which I barely dodged,her superhuman speed being incredible.
"Calm down! Sure you aren't wolfing out!?" I saif with a smile as she kept trying to cut me open.
