Cherreads

Chapter 10 - painting master.

"Gosh I look so sick..." I muttered while giving the canvas a few more strikes, the canves filled entirely of red with my own face making a contrast, the blue eyes and slim face with no fat, deprived of sleep and with the frizziest hair ever.

After Xavier showed me how painting and drawing could be good to let go of feelings, I kept on drawing the massacre and my past life on that place in a notebook, and sometimes I painted some moments in a real canvas.

Ajax entered the room and looked at the paint, squinting his eyes looking at my face.

"Who is that...?" Ajax said looking at the painting, still trying to figure it out.

"Can't you see it's me? It's just a starved version of me." I said while pointing at my own face and then at the painting.

"Well but you do know you have green eyes no?" He said staring at me.

"Eh...? No? They're blue, so blue in fact that they look like the sea..." I said waving my hand dismissively, thinking her trying to pull one on me.

"Dude look at a mirror, It's like you have two jades as pupils..." He said pointing at the bathroom.

I quickly opened the door and turned on the light to see myself in the mirrror and...

"Yeah they're green..." I opening wide my eyes really upclose to the mirror.

"And why did you use so much red?" Ajax asked in the room.

"He's always so clueless..." I muttered under my breath with a smile.

"I tried making a contrast where my face was like reflecting on the surface." It was infact like that, but that painting was only made to let go of a memory I gained while leaving that place.

...

I kept walking, once the floor was cleared of anyone who would be called "strong" I only stayed around to make sure everyone was dead, or that there wasn't anyone hiding.

The floor was completely overflowed with blood, most of it being mine but also there's surely some more brutal kills, the ones to the neck and important veins leaving more blood.

But in this exact floor there was only two persons right now.

"Please Cain..., I never hated you..." The old looking scientist quivered on the floor against the wall,a gun on his trembling hand, not even to kill me, he knew it's imposible.

"The first memory I have of you was when I was seven..." I started talking while I looked down at the floor, my face reflecting on the blood pool.

"You pinned me down and started choking me... telling me how your wife left you after she said you spent too much time at work..."

"I didn't understand why you kept telling me it was my fault... until some years later where I realized you all wanted me be able to reverse age and death..."

"It's dumb how good I remember it..." I said raising my eyes from the blood pool, looking at the scared man holding the gun, surely more to kill himself than shot at me.

"Give me the weapon and I'll let you live..." I said extending my hand.

He looked like a relieved bunny who just ran away from a panther, and immediately threw at me the gun, which I grabbed mid-air.

Then I painted the wall red with his head insides.

...

"I don't wanna die yoooouunnng! The city of angels where I have my fun..." I kept muttering a song under my breath after I got inside the jewelry store.

"Hey anyone here?" I asked politely as a young adult girl raised her head up to look at me.

"Ah sure kid, what are you looking for?"

"I'm looking for a ring with a diamond, I have a budget of 6k..." I said while I looked at all the jewelry behind the glass vitrine.

"Ah sure..."

"Weirdo..." She muttered under her breath,so quiet only thanks to how perfect all the things that were needed for a proper hearing were literally exchanged after years and years of self experimenting with my regeneration and reversing ability.

"We have this one for around 5000 thousand dollars, but if you want another size it may come cheaper or higher cost." She said showing me a box with a precious golden ring with a diamond.

It was held by four small tips of gold in place, softly going a bit further than the diamond's height making it have a short sharp edge.

"Oh that looks good..." I said looking down at the diamond.

I put my hand inside my pocket and opened my wallet, counting the money before putting it on the counter.

She stared at me weirded out,the fact that I didn't even ask the size of the ring or to see any other strange.

She took the money and put it on a counterfeit detectors, and after it counted it all she took the box and left it on the counter.

"Do you want me to get it on a box for you?"

"No, like this is okay..." I said grabbing the ring.

"Thank you for your service..."
