Dante's power has always been weird to explain, somehow immortality is the side effect of the reversing capabilities his power has, effectively reversing one of the biggest life threatening events:Death.
But his ability also gave him a self regeneration, pretty fast after training it for 15 years straight.
It also made that everytime his body healed, the part recovered would come better, in the nearest slight to perfection, he'd normally cut his skin off whenever he saw a pimple.
But there was a small thing his power couldn't explain, his psychical, in the overall sense of the word.
He has strengthen senses, a speed that surpassed any regular human and most outcasts, so it wasn't farfetched what Wednesday just told him.
"Yes, I believe you're a vampire, the sings were just off due to normie genes being there too." She said as she stared at the blood vial in her hand.
Some days after her birthday, our biology teacher thought it'd be a great idea doing blood test of everyone in the class, Dante was reluctant at first due to not wanting any registration of my existence, but after hr was told it would be held out by outcast medical associations, he didn't hesitate to say yes.
"So?" Dante asked watching the sheet of paper she had on her side of the desk.
"Well, both parents are not on any database, but the genes identified sure are vampiric ones..." She said reading the sheet, she being the only person in the class who comprehended the statistics there.
"How come I don't have fangs then?" Dante asked with a smile, one that surely didn't have sharp canines.
"Well they're grown after 20 years, but some cases do grow them younger after losing their other canines." Wednesday said, watching how Dante started looking down in deep thoughts.
"Don't." Wednesday said with a flat tone as she watched how the inmortal boy started touching his canines.
"Imagine how good I would look with fangs!?" Dante said raising his hands on the air, the idea of being able to have a sharp smile, in the literal sense was all he needed to know to at least try.
"Just don't leave the place all bloody, they'll think I started breaking blood vials." Wednesday said as she watched the boy stand up in front of a trash can.
And off he go with his teeth, he pulled them with ease and she saw how they grew back again, without any sharp end.
"Maybe it's growing accostumed to the form of your mouth." She said.
"How so?"
"Vampires have a slight socket over the fangs so they can suck on the blood into their mouths." Wednesday said, and the boy immediately pushed deep his fingers on the place where his teeth should be, blood falling down into the can as his mouth healed again.
And soon after two sharp fangs came along too, the sharp points only shined bright as Dante smiled looking at Wednesday neck.
"Do you think if I bite you, you'll become an inmortal vampire?"
"It doesn't work like that."
"I know... I'm just joking around." He said as he sat down next to her again, the privacy they had inside the laboratory now finally fell on both of them, the pressure silent but there.
"Now I have to ask, do you feel the urge to drink blood now?" Wednesday said looking at the boy, her eyes staring his fangs.
"Do I...?" Dante wondered as he put a hand on his chin, and then he looked at Wednesday neck.
He stared straight to the jugular vein on her neck, his ears picking up the small heartbeat and how it pulsed on her vein, his eyes couldn't stop staring as he leaned in slow but surely, and Wednesday only seemed to comply as she raised her head a bit giving more space to the boy.
"Can I..?"
"Once... for cientific purposes..." she whispered as the boy only closed to her neck, the feel of her cheeks warming up more and more was making this entire interaction unbearable.
"Guys!" Enid shouted as she swung open the door of the lab, only to find the pair sitting straight, their eyes looking to the paper sheet with a concentrated look, a small inquisitive eye quiver on Wednesday.
How did she even allowed herself to do thar, she was just going to let him go as he wished on her neck, she was undeniably scared of how comfortable she was getting with him, she was anti-social by choice, a thought she always had, about how crowds and people only dragged down the logical thinking, she has always felt like this, but now that feeling was being overrided by the boy next to her.
"What are you doing?" Enid said curiously, even the girl who could create the craziest tea didn't find anything strange on how stiff they looked.
"I'm a vampire." Dante said looking at the blonde girl with a smile, his fangs the first trait one would notice.
"Oooh" Enid yelled surprised as she skipped next to the boy, touching with the tip of her index finger the sharp point.
"Is it about the test everyone took in biology?" She said watching the sheet of paper on the table, ignoring the still blushing goth girl.
"Anyways..." Enid swung next to Wednesday, getting her hand inside her backpack.
"I came here for Thing, he told me we'll see skincare routines and how good they actually are." She said as the hand crawled from her arm to her shoulder.
"Do not worry about us." Wednesday said, and she felt only at the end of the sentence how that "us" could be taken.
"Yeah don't worry! Don't let me bother your private time!" Enid said leaving the room with a smile, her sentence only saying one thing "I know what you were doing" in a not so subtle way.
That made Dante look away, his cheeks blushing again as he stared at everything but the goth girl, which also looked straight to a wall, trying to keep her eyes from wandering away.
'I must make a move! If I don't she'll think I'm scared of trying! But what if she pulls away or straight up stands and go?!' Dante's mind rushed wildly as he couldn't pull himself to form a thought.
But that wasn't required once Wednesday hand was on his shoulder, making him turn around.
"Dante."
"Yes...?"
"Let's test how does garlic affects you, it's better to study the effects of normal vampire weaknesses..." she said, incredibly dodging the situation, and both were thankful she was able to come up with the idea.

...
Enid came back through the halls after a tiring date with Ajax, time always goes really fast when you're with the person you love, Enid never was a girl with lots of friends she would trust completely, she lives in a family where a pack who would give their life for you is the rule, but in this world no matter how kind or good she was, she was completely sure no one would give their life for her.
That was months ago, now what were just sparks of joy, sparks that only last in the moment, but somehow her life has changed months ago, getting to know Ajax by how she wanted to know more about the Xavier and Bianca drama, ending up using that drama as an excuse to hang out with him.
And later she found an inmortal boy speaking into the terrace of her dorm, and somehow they ended up being friends, good friends, he's one who would take a bullet for her, more figuratively speaking, afterall he wouldn't care to take a bullet anytime.
Then, recently she was given the change to finally have a roommate, being a dormant werewolf meant not a lot of people would trust staying with her when a full moon was up in the sky, but the sarcastic, sparky and sharp tongued goth girl didn't care at all about it.
The first time they met she was told how she was alergic to color, and then how her music tastes were horrible, later her fashion taste, later her taste in mostly everything Wednesday could think about in the moment.
Enid turned to open her dorm door, but stopped when her sharp ears picked up the quiet sound of something penetrating meat from inside the dorm.
"Can you pull it out without your hand?" Enid heard Wednesday voice ask, her tone was one of interest, one with some emotion attached to it.
Enid suddenly realized what was happening.
'Oh God, oh God...' her hand trembled over the door knob, suddenly the situation completely destroying her mind.
'I hope it isn't what I hear it is, and if it is then I hope it's Dante...' her mind only was able to get one thought at a time, and she tried to get some courage.
"This is my dorm too... I must set boundaries... like when I told her to do taxidermy only when I wasn't here..." she whispered, assuring herself she was completely justified.
Finally she took a sharp breath and swung open the door.
"Fuck!" Dante yelled scared as the wooden stake flew from his arm to the ceiling and back to the ground.
Wednesday only turned around on her chair, watching Enid who for some reason had a relieved face.
"Something wrong? Or should I put on the list about your problems you open doors like they're made to be broken?" Wednesday said sarcastically as she lost interest on the werewolf, writting on a small notebook she had on her desk.
"You can at least close the door you know? I don't want anyone watching this." Dante said, staring uncaring at Enid.
"Uh... yeah sure..." Enid said closing the door, and walking to her bed where she sat down, her face looked like in shock as she whispered something.
'I can't believe I actually thought they would be doing something...' Enid said watching how the pair stopped paying attention to her, and Wednesday talked to him, the closeness of both making Enid chest flutter.
'They don't know it but they're cute...' her mind thinking about the way how Dante held Wednesday stare for 5 seconds before looking away embarrassed.
'This is going in the blog...' Enid though as she pulled her phone, starting to write as she watched the pair exchanging words, and how Wednesday kept experimenting things on Dante.
Holy water, fire, stakes in multiple parts of the body(which made Enid look away as she only heard how it was in and out multiple times), crosses, silver, concentrating sunlight with a magnifying glass.
Only silver working to make his skin burn for 1 minute before it stopped completely, and stated by the inmortal "I just adapted to how it affected me."
This kept going until the moon started to show, all the testing done and Wednesday finally pulled aside from Dante which only caused Enid sadness.
"Anything to say which you may think it's related to weaknesses?" Wednesday said to Dante.
The boy only looked up, wondering anything related in his past, and the only think that could be said close was one he didn't gave much thought before.
"The first time I saw the sun, my skin was right but I believe it's because I was entirely covered on blood, but my eyes hurt a lot that moment." Dante said with a hand on his chin, and Wednesday only wrote more things on her notebook.
