Chapter 28 – The Night of the Golden Globes
January 11, 2015 – Jacob Stewart's First Golden Globe
The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills was surrounded by a crowd. Paparazzi, journalists, fans… Everyone awaited the biggest stars of film and TV for the Golden Globe Awards, one of Hollywood's most prestigious awards ceremonies.
Among the guests that night was Jacob Stewart, the new Hollywood sensation after the resounding success of John Wick. He wasn't nominated, but his presence there was already proof that his career was on the rise.
In the limousine, on the way to the event, Jacob adjusted his bespoke black Giorgio Armani suit, with an impeccable cut, matching his classic and dangerous style. In the passenger seat, his agent Richard Calloway smiled.
"Enjoy this night, Jacob. You may not be competing today, but everyone here knows who you are."
Jacob smiled slightly.
"It seems things have changed quickly."
"Quickly?" Richard laughed. "You went from an impromptu audition to being the most talked-about guy in action movies in less than a year. Now, the biggest stars in the world want to meet you."
The limousine pulled up to the red carpet entrance.
Jacob took a deep breath before getting out of the car.
The first thing he heard was the screams of the fans.
"JACOB! JACOB, OVER HERE!"
"LOOK OVER HERE, JOHN WICK!"
Photographers flashed their cameras nonstop, while journalists tried to get him for interviews.
Jacob maintained his confident posture as he walked, stopping occasionally to take photos and chat with reporters.
One of the journalists from Entertainment Tonight approached him.
"Jacob, you're not nominated today, but you're becoming an increasingly big name in Hollywood. How does it feel to be at the Golden Globes for the first time?"
Jacob smiled.
"It's surreal." A year ago, I couldn't even imagine going to a movie theater, let alone being here among so many talents I admire.
— John Wick was a gigantic success and rumors about the sequel are already circulating. Can you tell us anything about it?
Jacob winked.
— I can only say that John Wick hasn't finished his revenge yet.
The journalist laughed.
— We can't wait!
He smiled and went inside the hotel, where the biggest names in film and TV were already gathered.
Inside the Event – Conversations with Big Names
The main hall was filled with luxurious tables, champagne being served non-stop, and a constant buzz of lively conversations.
Jacob walked through the space, greeting familiar faces.
Chris Hemsworth was one of the first to approach him.
— Here's the most dangerous guy in Hollywood! — said the actor, patting Jacob on the shoulder.
Jacob laughed.
"I say the same about the God of Thunder."
Chris picked up a glass of champagne and smiled.
"All joking aside, John Wick was insane. You got the whole industry paying attention. And now, with this competitive shooting thing, you've basically become a real professional assassin."
Jacob laughed.
"Let's just say I like to challenge myself."
Chris raised his glass.
"To the new king of action!"
They toasted, and Jacob was soon approached by Charlize Theron, wearing an elegant black dress, her presence exuding confidence.
"So, you're really as good with guns as they say?"
Jacob smiled.
"There's only one way to find out."
Charlize laughed.
"Well, if you need a training partner…"
Jacob winked.
"Invitation accepted."
They chatted a little longer until Leonardo DiCaprio approached.
"We finally meet, Stewart."
Jacob shook hands with the Oscar-winning actor.
"My honor, Leo."
"Let me ask you…" Leo took a sip of his drink. "With all this sudden success, how are you handling fame?"
Jacob thought for a moment.
"I see it as just another challenge. I'm still new to this, but I'm learning to navigate this world without losing who I am."
Leo nodded, pleased with the answer.
"That's the right mindset. Hollywood can swallow anyone if you don't know how to play the game."
Jacob smiled.
"Then I guess I have a good teacher ahead of me."
Leo laughed.
"Let's see if you survive this world as long as I have."
As Jacob walked through the hall, he picked up a new glass of champagne and observed the crowd. It was then that he felt a gentle touch on his arm.
He turned and found Scarlett Johansson smiling at him.
"Don't you find it strange that we haven't met yet?"
Jacob smiled.
"Well, it seems fate has decided to rectify that now."
Scarlett picked up a champagne glass and lightly touched his.
"Congratulations on your success, Jacob. You brought something new to Hollywood."
He raised an eyebrow.
"And what exactly did I bring?"
She smiled.
"Authenticity. There aren't many action actors who really know how to fight and shoot. You took it to another level. That makes you different… interesting."
Jacob noticed the subtly provocative tone in her voice.
"So I'm interesting, am I?"
Scarlett gave a small sip of her drink and smiled.
"I'd say so."
Jacob laughed.
"Good to know. But what about you? When are we going to work together?"
She tilted her head thoughtfully.
"That depends… Could you keep up with my Black Widow?"
Jacob winked.
"I wouldn't just keep up… I'd give you a run for your money."
Scarlett smiled.
"I like a challenge."
The Awards Ceremony – What Comes Next?
As the awards ceremony began, Jacob sat at his table, watching the speeches, the celebrations, and the emotional moments.
He realized something important there.
The following year, he wanted to be on that stage.
Not just as a guest, but as a nominee.
Richard Calloway leaned beside him and whispered:
"Now that you've experienced this, I imagine you want a Golden Globe of your own, right?"
Jacob smiled.
"You know me well."
Richard laughed.
"Then let's start planning your next big role. Because next time…" He pointed to the stage. "You're the one who's going to be up there."
Jacob nodded.
He knew that tonight was just the beginning.
And he was ready to conquer Hollywood once and for all.
Chapter 29 – The Next Big Step
February 2015 – The Invitation to Two Great Films
Jacob Stewart sat on the porch of his Los Angeles home, enjoying the morning silence while drinking a strong coffee. Lucky, his black Labrador, slept beside him, breathing peacefully.
Since the Golden Globe, his career seemed to be moving at an absurd speed. He was one of the most talked-about actors in Hollywood, his name was on the lips of renowned directors, and his rise showed no signs of slowing down.
But he didn't expect what was about to happen.
His phone rang, and upon seeing the name Richard Calloway, his agent, he knew something big was coming.
"Tell me, Richard."
On the other end of the line, Richard sounded excited.
"Jacob, I need you to come to the office now. We have two offers for you. And I guarantee… You won't want to miss this."
Jacob frowned.
— Two offers?
— Two HUGE offers.
— I'm on my way.
He finished his coffee quickly, put on a leather jacket, and left for his car.
Something told him this meeting would change his career forever.
At the Agency Office – Two Surprising Proposals
As soon as Jacob entered Richard's office, he saw that his agent had two scripts on the table.
Richard smiled when he saw him.
— I told you they were big.
Jacob sat down and picked up one of the scripts.
— 007: Spectre?
Richard nodded.
— That's right. They want you to do a cameo in the new James Bond movie.
Jacob raised an eyebrow.
— James Bond? I thought the cast was already set.
— It was. But director Sam Mendes saw your work in John Wick and decided he wanted you in an iconic action scene. You would play an assassin hired to eliminate Bond, but end up having an intense fight with him.
Jacob flipped through the script.
"My character dies?"
Richard smiled.
"Yes, but in a legendary way. And that would put your name in the 007 franchise, which could open doors for the future."
Jacob nodded.
"Okay. And what's the other offer?"
Richard slid the second script towards him.
Jacob looked at the cover and his heart stopped for a second.
THE REVENANT
Jacob looked at Richard, confused.
"Wait… Isn't that the Leonardo DiCaprio movie?"
Richard smiled.
"Yes… But DiCaprio turned down the role. He decided to do another project and the studio urgently needs a protagonist. And guess who is director Alejandro González Iñárritu's first choice?"
Jacob blinked.
"Me?"
"Exactly." Jacob opened the script and began quickly reading the first few pages.
The story was brutal. A journey of survival, revenge, and resistance against all odds.
"This role…" Jacob murmured. "It's very intense."
"Yes. You'd have to spend months filming in extreme conditions, with snow, cold, and a lot of physicality."
Jacob took a deep breath.
He had never made a film of this dramatic level before. But at the same time…
It was the perfect opportunity to show the world that he was more than just an action star.
He looked at Richard.
"What if I accept both?"
Richard smiled.
"Then you'll have the most challenging year of your life."
Jacob picked up a pen, signed the papers, and threw the pen on the table.
"Then let's go."
Richard laughed and picked up the phone.
"Jacob Stewart is officially in."
And so, he took another step towards becoming a Hollywood legend.
