Now Jyu was taken to Master Jenna's room. Taffie, Sizhi, and several high-ranking members of the DV Army were already there. Everyone looked tense, but not Master Jenna, who appeared very calm.
"Fufufufu, you've finally arrived!"
Apparently, after several hours the intel team had finally succeeded in analyzing Kuma's power. From the results of the analysis and the information in the demon encyclopedia, the dimensional portal could be closed by releasing Kuma's curse.
But the clues to release Kuma's curse were extremely limited. In the demon encyclopedia, it was only written that half of Kuma's soul was sealed inside a jar. This jar was stored in a palace surrounded by ornaments of demon statues.
At first, no one knew the location of that palace. However, Sizhi, who accidentally heard about this matter, immediately revealed a fact. When he was in the Darkent realm, he found his demon power near that palace. Sizhi was very sure!
That meant part of Kuma's soul sealed in the jar was now in the Darkent realm. It meant they had to go there immediately.
"Jyu, this is your responsibility. So you must enter the Darkent realm and search for the fragments of Kuma's soul," said Master Jenna.
"Don't worry, you won't be alone. Taffie and Sizhi will accompany you. If possible, I will also send a support team soon."
This shocking fact made Jyu feel a little relieved. At least there was a solution to the problem that had befallen him and the whole world. After this, he had to work hard to save all humanity.
Confidently, he nodded and said, "I'm ready!"
Jyu's mental state had previously completely collapsed. He seemed to have lost all enthusiasm. His mistake was truly fatal. However, after learning that there was a solution to this problem, his spirit rose again. His passion to begin a new adventure burned brightly.
"Before you depart, remember my words, especially you, Jyu and Sizhi. While in the Darkent realm, you will be safe if you stay near Taffie," said Master Jenna.
There was no more time. Jyu, Sizhi, and Taffie had to depart immediately. All three played equally important roles in this mission. Taffie is the senior who would guide her juniors in carrying out the mission. Sizhi would act as the navigator to reach the demon palace. As for Jyu, he was the one who had to release Kuma's curse.
Meanwhile, entering the Darkent realm was actually easy. Just like what the Arabai had done before, the way to enter the demon realm was by using Kuma's power. But this was also where the problem lay.
In truth, dimensional portals are connected between two worlds. This means if one side opens, then the dimensional portal on the opposite side will also open. It meant all mystical creatures could enter through the opened dimensional portal. Jyu, Taffie, and Sizhi had to be ready to fight as early as possible. There was no place to run!
When the preparations were complete, the three of them were finally about to depart on their adventure to the Darkent realm. Master Jenna tried to open the dimensional portal by borrowing Kuma's power.
She placed her palm on Kuma's head. Slowly, she channelled the power of her soul core. At that moment, Kuma's eyes seemed to emit light, and a second later, the dimensional portal opened. Its shape was perfectly round, but inside there was only darkness.
"Farewell, good luck!" said Master Jenna.
Jyu, Taffie, and Sizhi immediately walked toward the dimensional portal.
"Channel your soul core power into your feet. Only then can you step inside the dimensional portal," Taffie explained. She was the first to enter it, followed by Jyu and finally Sizhi.
The three of them now ran through the dark dimensional portal, illuminated only by fragments of light reflecting from the human world and the Darkent realm. Taffie was in the very front, Sizhi in the middle, while Jyu was at the very back. All three remained alert because the threat of mystical creatures was always present.
"How long will our journey take to get there?" Jyu asked softly.
"I don't know!" Taffie answered briefly.
Like uncertainty itself, the three of them could only keep running until the light from the Darkent realm grew closer.
"Stop!" Suddenly, Taffie halted her steps. Quickly, she observed something.
"Something is coming!" In an instant, she gripped her sword, ready to fight.
Sure enough, right ahead a group of mystical creatures appeared. There were quite a few of them, various types of creatures with disgusting forms. But judging from their presence, they were all at the Monster level.
Of course, they were no match for Taffie. The woman immediately attacked and quickly defeated five monsters. Five monsters remained, and Taffie showed no mercy. Her movements were extremely fast and in an instant fresh blood poured from their bodies. All of them died!
"She's so strong!" said Jyu in admiration when he saw his senior fighting.
"Of course! Master Jenna didn't send Taffie with us without reason. From Wirtz's story, only Taffie's ability is suitable for infiltrating the Darkent realm," explained Sizhi.
Taffie immediately called Jyu and Sizhi to continue their journey.
"Watch your steps!" Taffie shouted to warn her two juniors.
It was quite reasonable, because there were the bodies of ten monsters lying in the dimensional portal. But those ten bodies slowly fell into a bottomless abyss because their demonic energy had already faded away, leaving them.
The three of them continued their journey together, running side by side while staying alert.
Not long after, another group of mystical creatures appeared again. This time, the number was not too many, only six monsters. Of course, this was easy for Taffie. In an instant, the six monsters were dead.
After some time, they finally saw the light of the Darkent realm. Their destination was getting closer, and they had to be even more vigilant. There could be enemies lurking and ready to attack.
Taffie slowly peeked out. Now they had arrived in the Darkent realm at night. All the monsters were resting, but there were still some busy going in and out of the dimensional portal.
"We're lucky!" said Taffie. "Come on, follow me!"
Taffie immediately jumped down, followed by Sizhi and Jyu. The three of them had now landed in the Darkent realm, filled with towering cone-shaped rocks. Like nostalgia, Taffie, Sizhi, and Jyu briefly gazed at the sky and their surroundings. It was as if they were recognizing this place again, recalling memories from when they struggled to survive.
"We don't have time. Sizhi, where is that palace located?" said Taffie.
Sizhi tried to remember the location. "I'm sure the palace is on the west side of the Darkent realm."
"What threats lie on the way there?" Taffie asked.
Knowing every possible threat was indeed necessary. This could minimize the risk of injury or death while fighting enemies. Jyu, who had been observing Taffie the whole time, felt even more amazed by the woman.
"She's very reliable," his heart said.
"Storms!" explained Sizhi.
"We have to pass through a barren region of the Darkent realm without any cone-shaped rocks. In this region storms occur frequently. From my previous experience, in one day there can be four to five sandstorms."
