"Almost," Érimón said. He studied Zane for a moment. "When you wake on my world, you will be in a new body that will be the same age as you were on Earth. There will be a pack there for you with some basic supplies and other necessities. You will wake up near the dungeon and you'll need to clear it before you go and explore. At the end of the dungeon, there will be a map that will direct you to the nearest city. Do you have any questions for me?"
"Don't you want to give me more information about your world? The races, cultures, things of that nature?"
Érimón shook his head. "No, I don't. I want you to discover those things one your own. I don't want you to just know about my world, I want you to become a part of it. I want your interactions with my creations to determine your view them and I hope you will come to care for them. Experiences are what give us connection to each other. Our emotions are forged through our actions and how we are treated. The good and the bad are essential for a complete understanding. I don't want to denied you of the adventure that awaits you and telling you too much may taint your view. However, I will answer questions you have if I feel they won't interfere with that goal. I would suggest that you be specific with what you ask."
Zane thought about it for a few minutes. "What dangers will I face in this dungeon? Are there any specific things I should watch out for?"
"Excellent question. This dungeon will have many weaker monsters, but their levels will be higher than normal to give you a challenge. You high stats require this. These monsters won't have anything beyond basic skills and no spells. As you move deeper into the dungeon, you will begin to meet monsters that have those advanced abilities to increase the difficulty and challenge. You will meet elites on each level and at the end will be a boss. Be vigilant. There will be safe areas at the beginning of each level. Do not let your guard down outside of these areas. Many of these weaker monsters are sneaky, looking for ways to attack when you least expect it because of their lack of strength."
"What kind of reaction can I expect from people once I leave the dungeon?"
"My children will react well to you. You'll have the charming trait unsealed at that time."
Zane thought for a second and smirked. "Doesn't that trait interfere with the experience? You said you didn't what anything to disrupt that."
Érimón smiled. "Your right, it will change your experience with my children. I debated on whether to give you that trait, but the truth is that time is short. I need them to trust you so that they will help you with the quest I've given you."
Zane nodded. "That makes sense. Do you have a name for your world?"
"Parras."
"Parras," Zane repeated. "Interesting name. I don't have any other questions right now. When will I be going to your world?"
"As soon as possible," Érimón said, getting up off of the ground. "Let's head back to the transfer circles at the Conclave. Those make it easier to move your soul between worlds."
Zane also got up and started to dust off his pants.
"You go on ahead, Érimón," Gzi'om said. "There are few things I need to talk to Zane about before he goes."
"Of course." Érimón walked away quickly, leaving them behind.
Zane looked at Gzi'om. "What's up? Last words of wisdom?"
"Yes," Gzi'om said, nodding. "There is something I need you to do before you enter that dungeon."
"What would that be?"
"To sit and process."
Zane was confused. "Process what?"
Gzi'om reached over and grabbed his shoulder. "The fact that you died and left everything you knew behind."
"Why would I want to think about that?"
"Because you already are thinking about it," Gzi'om said. "You just don't realize it yet. Emotions are a complex thing and you don't want to suddenly feel overwhelmed by them in a dungeon. You need to focus or you'll die. You're going to be difficult to kill, but not impossible. Most heroes who die, die within the first month, very often with the first serious encounter they have. I don't want that to be you. You have the potential to be among the greatest heroes this universe knows, but potential means nothing if you're dead. This is something that could be a major road block for you. Let's meet it head on and get past it early."
"So, you want me to think about my death?"
"Your death, your life, those you left behind. If you let your mind quiet and you focus on those things, the part of you that has already been processing them will surface and you can join it in accepting what has happened." Gzi'om smiled. "Just try not to hate me too much."
Zane smiled back. "No promises."
Gzi'om chuckled. "Let's go. We don't want to keep Érimón waiting. Despite what you saw, he's anxious to get you to his world."
"He really cares about his people, doesn't he?"
Gzi'om nodded. "They are his children. He's among those of the God's who struggle the most with the rules of non-interference. Despite all his words to you about earning what you receive and living the experience, he would give his children everything if he could. He's an interesting contradiction. Enjoy your time on his world. There are many great things there."
"I have a question for you before I leave," Zane said. "How am I going to know which people you what me to Truck-Kun?"
"The trait, Chosen of the Truck-Kun, will show you who I have chosen," Gzi'om told him. "Then you will use the Summon to assist the person in coming here."
"Assist, huh?" Zane said, shaking his head. "Nice use of semantics. I noticed that the Summon skill had a restriction on it. What does that mean?"
"You are only able to summon the Truck-Kun when there is someone worthy there. You won't be able to use it in the dungeon. I don't care about monsters."
"So, the restriction is about meeting certain conditions?"
"Correct."
Zane sighed. "Well, this will be an adventure, won't it? I'm looking forward to that wristblade."
"Do what I told to do before entering the dungeon and then get through it as fast as you can. Once you get comfortable fighting monsters, I'm sure you'll fly through that thing." Gzi'om stopped at the edge of one of the tile circles in the Conclave. Érimón was waiting in the center. "I will communicate with you on Parras. It won't be often, but it will happen. Listen to Érimón and don't cause any trouble for him."
"No promises," Zane said, walking to the center of the circle. "Sometimes trouble is exactly what you need." He stopped in the center and looked at Érimón. "What do I need to do?"
"Just stand there and I'll take care of everything. Once you get through the dungeon and into the first city, go to the church. I'll have someone there, waiting for you."
Zane nodded and turned around, giving a lazy salute to Gzi'om. The Truck-Kun God smiled and tipped his hat. A white light enveloped Zane and everything faded.
