A rush of energy fluttered into him from the stone he crushed. It was greater than anything I had felt before.

[Congratulations! You have leveled up!]
Zane found it interesting that he had leveled up. He didn't think he was that close when he fought the rat man champion. Maybe something happened when he crushed the skill stone. He wasn't going to complain about it.
Name: Zane Mangold
Age: 21
Race: Human
Class: Unassigned

[Map]
The UI of the system had changed a bit. There were a couple more options than before. He might as well go through everyone. "Stats."
Level: 8
Exp: 0/12800
Strength: 51
Dexterity: 94
Intelligence: 54
Wisdom: 32
Constitution: 85
Health: 1050/1050
Mana: 565/565
Skill Points: 40
(A/N It was stated earlier that there would be 10 skill points per level. I have reduced that to 5.)
Everything looked like it should considering he was level eight now. The only thing that was different was that he now had skill points. He found it interesting was the zero experience he had towards the next level. He was pretty sure that the stone had boosted him to the next level when he crushed it. "Traits."
Traits
Blessed Hero: Double Experience gain, all stat increases doubled with each level.
Linguist: The ability to understand, speak, and read the languages of the world.
Charming: Children of Érimón will naturally trust you (reversed until unsealed).
Chosen of the Truck-Kun: The ability to sense souls who are worthy of heroic elevation.
Everything there was the same except that the three traits that were sealed were now unsealed. He did wonder how he would know when a soul was worthy of heroic elevation. "System, what kind of indication will I be given when I meet someone worthy of the Truck-kun?"
[There will be a visual indicator that will inform you of the soul's worthiness.]
"What kind of visual indicator?"
[They will have an unmistakable aura about them.]
Zane sighed. The system was obviously not going to give him a more direct answer. "Skills."

Parkour (Intermediate) 10%

He went into the weapon training
Weapon Training (Intermediate) 10%:
One-handed Weapons Piercing Strike 2% Shield Bash 2% Wrist blade Backstab 0% Additional Skills
There wasn't much difference between now and before that last fight. The biggest change was the fact that he now had a skill that was related to his wrist blades. At least that made it so he only needed to unlock one more skill to upgrade his weapon training. He was looking forward to exploring the Additional Skills section.
The next few items on the interface were all new. "Quests."
Quests
None
No surprise; he had no quests. Hopefully he'd be receiving some soon. "Companions."
Companions
Gwen: Mythic Guardian Panther, Level 8,
Bond: 40%
It didn't give a lot of information about his furry friend. Mythical guardian panther did sound pretty awesome. The bond though was lower than he expected. "Gwen, why is our bond only at 40%?"
"Well, you'll have to do a lot more for me if you want it to be higher. Did you expect me just to be completely infatuated with you?"
"I didn't expect you to just be 100% with me, but I was expecting a bit more than 40%. Can that go down?"
"Of course I can go down. If you don't pay enough attention to me or you don't feed me or if you just annoy me, it can go down."
"What happens if it gets too low?"
"Then I'll leave you. Why should I deal with a master who can't keep me happy?"
"Of course. That was a stupid question." Zane said sarcastically.
Gwen nodded. "At least you know your place. I would suggest that you pay special attention to me and then maybe we'll get it above 50%. No promises though."
Zane rolled his eyes at her, churning his attention back to the interface. "Maps."
A transparent map appeared in front of him. It had mapped this entire floor of the dungeon. It operated much like the GPS maps back on Earth, allowing him to move it around and zoom in and out. It even allowed him to view the levels that he had cleared before. He was quite impressed by it. He opened his inventory and found that nothing had changed.
He decided to open up the skills section and look at the additional skills. He was quickly overwhelmed by the number of options that it presented. He did have to go through and choose one more skill in order to increase the level of his weapon training. He went back to the beginning of the interface and noticed that his his class was still unassigned. "System, I was told I would receive a class after I finished the dungeon. Why haven't I received one?"
[There are two classes that have been determined to suit you best. You must choose one before you are assigned it.]
"What are the two options?"
[Assassin and Blade Dancer.]
Zane thought about the two options. He knew what an Assassin was and, as much as he'd liked the Assassin creed games, he didn't really feel like an Assassin was the best fit for him. "Give me information about the Blade Dancer class."
[Blade Dancers are masters of mobility and precision strikes. They only wear light armor, as their best defense is the fact that their opponents have trouble hitting them. Using their mobility to dance around their opponents, they rely on precision strikes to disable and kill their opponent in his few hits as possible.]
He liked the sound of that. While an Assassin would use his mobility to sneakily gain position and eliminate an opponent, this Blade Dancer sounded like someone who did the same thing in the open. That sounded like it melted better with his parkour skill, which he had used to great effect in this dungeon. Having a class that complimented this skill was ideal. "I would like to be a Blade Dancer."
