That night, Prince Rain made sure to send the files he wanted to review with Idris and Viola before taking those he needed the king's signature on to his private chamber. Upon his arrival, the guards bowed, and some even smiled. Such a rare occurrence.
"The king says you can wait in the private garden," one of the guards reported.
Rain nodded, and as he turned, another quickly reached for the files.
"I will help you with this."
Rain didn't stop them. It was the first time someone other than his men and Cealan had offered to help, so he allowed it.
Rain walked over to the private garden. The environment was quiet, with a little breeze keeping the place fresh. On the porch were two chairs set as if they knew of his arrival. Rain sat down, and the guards dropped the items on the table and bowed before walking away, but one stayed back.
"Anything else?" Rain asked, but he declined.
"I... I..." he stammered.
Rain smiled. "I don't bite," he whispered.
