Third person
That night, Prince Rain came home not with a heavy heart but with a determination to see to it that he proved his father wrong. Deep down, for a little second, he had hoped his acceptance came from the right place. But then, as always, it was just another game to watch him fall so he could use it to his advantage to force him under submission.
The moment Rain stepped into his wing, he noticed Cealan wasn't home. It was way past his usual hour.
"Any word from my husband?" Rain asked, and Idris quickly denied.
"I've contacted the border captain, and he made mention Alpha Cealan left over an hour ago and should be home by now, but still he hasn't returned."
Rain nodded. "He must have something of importance to take care of," he said. Trust was their foundation, and he held on to that tightly.
"Should I serve dinner?"
Rain glanced outside, then nodded. "Yes, but keep his for later. I doubt he will be coming back anytime soon."
