Asher asked from where he sat in his bathrobe. He carefully lifted his slender legs onto the chair and began applying his cosmetics while glaring at the clothes Oliver was holding in his arms.
Oliver had expected that reaction… just not so soon.
So he began to explain.
"This is the marriage outfit. It shows to everyone that you're taken and no one should look at you suggestively till your end of days."
That comment didn't just annoy Asher—it made him stop applying his cream altogether.
What the actual heck??
Was this some form of branding or what?
Or was marriage slavery? Because why would he be wearing such horrendous clothes??
"Tell me this is a joke. You're playing a trick on me, right? Did Xavier do this??"
Asher didn't even know why Xavier's name was the first one he called, but he was pissed.
How could something like this exist in their culture and nobody bothered to tell him?
And the design too.
Were they in the middle ages??
