Titan. The ruins.
Doctor Strange sat alone on the wreckage of a massive gear, the Eye of Agamotto open on his chest, green light pulsing softly.
Waiting.
HUM—
Space didn't tear. It rippled — like a calm surface disturbed by a single stone.
Thanos stepped through.
He looked terrible. Even with Titan-grade healing, the wounds from Stormbreaker and Feedback's combined assault were still visible — golden breastplate shattered, left arm charred black, a limp in his stride that spoke of damage deeper than skin.
But his eyes burned brighter than ever.
"You are the wizard."
He scanned the desolate ruins of his homeworld. "It seems Ebony Maw has failed."
"He's dead." Strange's voice was flat. "Died badly."
"A day of losses." Thanos murmured it like a prayer. "But all for the final moment."
Four Stones reflected the dying light.
"Give me the Stone, wizard. Don't force me to turn your last refuge to ash."
"Then come take it."
Strange formed seals.
"DO IT!!"
Jake's voice in the comms.
Tony struck first — pushing a hundred-ton chunk of spaceship wreckage from above, diving like a flyswatter aimed at Thanos's skull.
BOOM!
Purple light. Power Stone shattered the wreckage. Thanos barely stood—
A high-tensile spider-web plastered across his eyes.
"Hey! Big guy! Over here!" Peter swung around him, delivering kicks between web-shots. "That one's for the donuts in New York!"
"GET OFF!" Thanos swiped blindly.
"Your opponent is ME!" Drax charged — twin blades at Thanos's knees.
Strange's red whips bound Thanos's right hand.
And above — Jake, hovering.
"Omnitrix — GRAVATTACK!"
The red rocky planetoid materialized. Gravitational core at maximum.
"Gravity suppression — ONE HUNDREDFOLD!!"
BOOM!
Thanos — mid-struggle — felt a mountain land on his spine. His knees hit the ground. Hard.
"NOW! Put him to SLEEP!"
A portal opened above. Mantis dropped onto Thanos's neck, hands pressing his temples.
"Sleep... sleep..."
Her antennae blazed. Full-power psychic sedation.
Thanos's eyes glazed. Struggles weakened. A dull growl escaped him as consciousness slipped into fog.
"WE'VE GOT HIM!!"
Peter rushed for the Gauntlet. Tony flew in to help. Both pulling.
"This thing is welded to his hand!" Tony strained, thrusters at maximum.
Star-Lord walked over. Scanner in hand. Expression grim.
"He is in pain..." Mantis whispered. "He is mourning..."
"Mourning what?" Quill's voice shook. "Where is Gamora?"
From the fog, Thanos murmured: "I... had to..."
"Had to WHAT?" Quill leaned close. "What did you do to her?!"
"Gamora... exchanged for... the Soul."
Quill froze.
Then rage — blind, total, reason-destroying — erupted.
"YOU KILLED HER?! YOU KILLED HER!!!"
He raised his Element Gun to smash it into Thanos's face.
"I'M GOING TO KILL YOU—"
If that blow landed, the pain would wake Thanos. The sedation would break. Everything they'd fought for — gone. This was the moment the original timeline shattered on.
"QUILL! STOP! DON'T—" Tony screamed.
SLAP!!
The sound was crisp. Definitive. Therapeutic.
Star-Lord spun three full rotations in the air before hitting the ground. Half his face swelled to the size of a dumpling. He was unconscious before he landed.
Dead silence.
Gravattack retracted his massive rocky palm, looking at the grounded Quill with undisguised contempt.
"If that punch had woken the Sweet Potato Spirit, I'd have thrown you into the Null Void to play chess with Vilgax for eternity."
"Beautiful." Tony gave a thumbs-up. "I've wanted to do that since I met him."
"STOP TALKING! PULL!!"
Without Quill's interference — and with Thanos injured, weakened, and sedated — the Gauntlet finally loosened.
An inch.
Two inches.
Pop.
The golden Infinity Gauntlet — four Stones embedded, the weapon that had terrorized the universe — came free in the combined grip of Peter and Tony.
"WE GOT IT!!!"
Peter hugged the Gauntlet — larger than his torso — and screamed.
The moment the Gauntlet left his hand, Thanos's eyes snapped open.
No confusion. No grogginess. Only the absolute, volcanic fury of a being who'd just been stripped of everything.
"ROAR————!!!!"
Even without the Stones — Thanos was the Titan who'd beaten the Hulk with bare fists.
"GET OFF!!"
He jerked his head — Mantis launched into the air. A kick sent Tony — armor and all — tumbling hundreds of meters.
"GIVE ME BACK THE GAUNTLET!!"
Pure physical strength overrode Gravattack's hundredfold gravity. Thanos charged at Peter like a rabid bull.
"MR. RIVERS! HELP!!" Peter scrambled across the ruins, clutching the Gauntlet to his chest, Spider-Sense screaming from every direction.
"I'd love to, kid — but this guy's gone berserk!"
Jake assessed the situation. Gauntlet secured. Thanos unarmed. But a Stone-less Mad Titan running on pure rage was still the most dangerous hand-to-hand combatant in the known universe.
Time to end this.
"Without the Stones — you're just a slightly stronger purple alien."
Jake detransformed from Gravattack. The dial spun.
"Let me show you what real Ultimate Evolution looks like."
"Omnitrix — ULTIMATE SWAMPFIRE!"
Blue flames erupted over the ruins of Titan.
