Darkness.
That was all Ayesha felt.
Her body was burning.
Her head was spinning.

A deep male voice reached her ears.
She slowly opened her eyes.
White ceiling.
Soft lights.
Hospital room.
She panicked and tried to sit up.
"Easy," the man said.
"You fainted on the street."
She looked at him.
Tall. Calm. Gentle eyes.
He smiled lightly.
"I'm Ryan Malik."
"Thank you…" she whispered.
"You saved me."
Ryan nodded.
"I was driving by… and saw you collapse."
He paused.
"Zayn let you go, didn't he?"
Ayesha froze.
"How do you know his name?"
Ryan's smile faded.
"Because… I know everything about him."
Her heart started racing.
"What do you mean?"
Ryan sat beside her bed.
"Three years ago," he said slowly,
"Zayn had an accident."
"He was protecting Lina."
"He was in a coma for six months."
Ayesha covered her mouth.
"Six months…?"
"Yes," Ryan continued.
"Doctors said he might never wake up."
"But he did."
"Only because he kept calling one name in his sleep…"
Ayesha leaned forward.
"Whose?"
Ryan looked straight into her eyes.
"Yours."
Silence crashed.
"What…?" she whispered.
"That's impossible. I never met him before."
Ryan took out his phone.
Showed her a photo.
Ayesha gasped.
It was her.
Three years younger.
Standing outside a hospital.
Holding flowers.
"I used to volunteer there," Ryan said.
"You used to come every week."
"You prayed for him."
"Even when you didn't know who he was."
Tears rolled down her cheeks.
"I… I don't remember…"
"Because," Ryan said softly,
"you lost your memory in an accident."
Her world shattered.
"Accident… memory… Zayn…"
Everything connected.
Suddenly, the door opened.
Zayn stood there.
Breathing hard.
Eyes burning.
"Ayesha," he said.
"Why didn't you tell me…"
"You remembered nothing?
Before anyone could answer—
Lina collapsed at the door.
Blood on her lips.
And whispered—
"I'm pregnant…"
