Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: Pregnant and Alone

Ayesha stared at the test in her shaking hands.

Two red lines.

Clear.

Cruel.

Real.

"I'm… pregnant?" she whispered.

Her vision blurred.

Tears dropped onto the plastic stick.

"This can't be happening…"

But it was.

Her body went weak.

Everything went dark.

"Doctor! Wake up! Please!"

Ryan's voice echoed.

Ayesha slowly opened her eyes.

White walls.

Hospital smell.

Again.

Hospital.

"Where… am I?" she murmured.

"You fainted," Ryan said softly.

"You're safe."

She turned her face away.

"I don't want this baby," she cried.

"He doesn't want me…"

Ryan's heart tightened.

"Don't say that," he said firmly.

"This child is loved. By me… and by you."

She looked at him in shock.

"By… you?"

Ryan smiled sadly.

"I've loved you for three years, Ayesha."

Her breath stopped.

"You… what?"

"I stayed near you," he continued.

"Because I knew Zayn would hurt you."

Silence fell.

At the same time…

Zayn stood in his office.

Staring at the evidence.

Lina's lies.

Her betrayal.

His mistakes.

"I was blind…" he whispered.

He slammed his fist on the table.

"Find Ayesha," he ordered.

"Now."

His assistant nodded.

"Everywhere."

Two Hours Later…

Zayn's car stopped suddenly.

He saw her.

Ayesha.

Standing outside a small clinic.

Holding Ryan's hand.

Smiling weakly.

Something inside him broke.

He jumped out.

"Ayesha!"

She froze.

Turned.

Saw him.

Her smile vanished.

"Why are you here?" she asked coldly.

"I know the truth," he said urgently.

"Lina lied. There was no baby."

"I don't care," she replied.

"I'm done."

He walked closer.

"You're carrying my child," he whispered.

Her eyes widened.

"How…?"

"I know," he said.

"Please… come back."

Ryan stepped forward.

"She's not going anywhere," he said firmly.

Zayn clenched his fists.

"Stay out of this."

"No," Ryan replied.

"I love her."

Silence exploded.

Ayesha stood between them.

Two men.

Two hearts.

One child.

Suddenly—

Ayesha felt sharp pain in her stomach.

She screamed—

And collapsed.

Blood slowly spread on the ground.
