"Does he have the cure?" Alex asked.
"Probably" Elvis said after a small moment. "But I am not sure."
"Hm...okay, I'll figure it out once I get there" Alex replied, a small fire burning in his eyes.
"Are you sure you want to go alone?" Elvis asked.
"Yes" Alex replied without hesitation.
But before he could go, a man appeared in the room.
He was nicknamed "The zombie" as nobody knew his real name. He had light green hair and had green stripes painted on his face. His expressions were serious and he never smiled.
"You don't have to go there, at least not immediately" Zombie said.
"Uh...what are you doing here?" Alex said, surprised to see him.
"What do you mean? Did you forget my power?" Zombie said, approaching Ronx who was lying on the bed.
"If you forgot, I'll remind you" Zombie said before splitting Ronx's face in half with a karate chop. "My power allows me to erase memories from people and find out information about them. However, this is only a temporary solution as certain events could trigger people to slowly get their memory back. You still have to find the cure but not immediately, at least."
Alex didn't flinch or widen his eyes, he looked calmly at what Zombie was doing as he had already seen him using his powers.
Once Ronx's face was split in half, there was no blood spilling out or any sign of it being cut off, even though it clearly was. The very next moment, Zombie inserted his hand into the brain area and after moving it a little, he took out his hand.
In his hand was a small book and everything that had happened to him was written in the book, from being in his mother's womb to the present, everything. Even his thoughts and where he was at that time, the date and brief introductions about other people that he had talked to.
"What date?" Zombie asked, glancing at Alex for a moment.
"October 12th, 1897" Alex replied.
Zombie looked at his power information for a brief moment and then started to flip the pages until page 13337 where everything that had happened to him in that day was written. Including the warehouse incident, Kenji's realm, everything that had happened in the Grand Hotel and even the dream of his, in which he was in the rotting peninsula.
Zombie slowly started to tremble, "Being of the undisclosed Reality? What's with this dream?!" he thought.
Even Alex could tell something was off.
"Is anything wrong?"
Zombie looked at Alex and was slightly sweating. "Oh...It's nothing."
"I'll just erase this and that...now that should be fine" Zombie mumbled, trying to hide his sweating.
After a little, page 13337 turned into a blank page and Zombie put it back into his brain. As soon as he did, the brain and the face reattached instantly, no scars. It was almost as if nothing had ever happened.
"Anyway...I need to go" Zombie said, leaving in a hurry.
"What was up with him?" Alex wondered, slightly raising his eyebrow. "Hmm...whatever, at least Ronx's fine."
The next moment, Ronx woke up and looked around slowly with a blank face.
"Uh...? Why am I here? What happened to the mission?"
"You got knocked out by Billie Fletcher and then I killed him and we got out safety" Alex said, lying through his teeth.
"Oh...damn" Ronx said, getting off the bed. "My head kind of hurts for some reason."
"Must be from the damage" Alex said, slowly approaching the door. "Anyway, It's time to train for a new mission."
"New mission? Already?" Ronx said, stretching his arms. "It hasn't even been more than a minute since I have woken up."
"I don't care. That's how things go" Alex said, opening the door. "Anyway, hurry up."
"Why do I need training anyway? I am pretty strong, no?" Ronx asked.
"You aren't that strong. You are a borderline grade 1 at best" Alex answered.
"Whatever, just make it quick" Ronx said, yawing in the process.
"Don't worry, I'll only fight you and give you tips. I'll end the fight in minutes" Alex said with a slight smirk.
"Wait...that was first smirk in a long time" Ronx said, placing his hand on his chain. "You depressed or something?"
"Tch. No. I act calm and confident with newer members so they become scared of me" Alex said calmly.
"What?! Did you do that with me too?" Ronx said, looking at Alex with widened eyes. "Just going to tell you now, I didn't get scared by you. Not even a little."
Before their conversation could continue further, they had reached the training room. Which was the same training room that Elvis had healed them both after the fight with the headless man.
"Come on, let's fight. There's a lot of spectators so make sure to not lose too quickly" Alex said with a confident smirk.
"Lose? I won't. Especially not against you" Ronx said with a confident smirk too.
"We'll see about that" Alex replied, both of them now standing in the large hollow space with many spectators watching.
"Isn't that Alex? The famous grade 1?" A blue haired man said, who was whispering to his friend, Vivian. The same girl who had the receipt power and gave Ronx and the others a supercar at the warehouse.
"That bastard definitely is famous" Vivian said, smoking as usual. "Though not for good reasons."
"Haha, you're right" The blue-haired boy said, whose name was Leo Leonardiz. "Who's the guy that's about to fight Alex?"
"Oh, you mean him. Eh, he's new and he killed the headless man with the help of Alex" Vivian answered. "He was also in the warehouse mission."
"Is he strong?" Leo asked.
"Eh, who knows? I haven't seen him fight" Vivian answered, taking out an another cigarette and lighting it up. "Well, We'll find out soon anyway."
