"Thank you very much for your help, my lord. This is an offering to the gods. Please accept it!"
The wealthy merchant bowed deeply, both hands respectfully lifting a heavy pouch of coins.
Standing before him was Uchiha Lie, dressed in simple priestly robes. In his left hand, he casually held a giant Rat Demon by the neck. The creature was unconscious, its body limp.
With his free hand, he accepted the money bag and discreetly weighed it twice.
A gentle smile appeared on his faceâcalm, kind, perfectly suited for a wandering priest.
"Thank you for your offering," he said warmly. "The gods will bless you and your family with peace and prosperity."
The merchant bowed again, gratitude filling his expression.
Under the respectful gazes of the townspeople, Uchiha Lie turned and left the busy Castle Town.
---
Harvest
Once he reached a quiet forest outside the city, the smile on his face faded.
He placed the coin pouch into the Kamui Dimension.
Then he unrolled a sealing scroll.
"Sealing: KishĆ Tensei Seal."
A pale green glow emerged from the scroll.
The Rat Demon's life force began draining rapidly, flowing into the scroll like water pulled by a whirlpool.
The demon's body shriveled.
Within moments, it turned into a dry skeleton and collapsed into scattered bones among the fallen leaves.
Uchiha Lie rolled up the scroll calmly.
"The life force needed for resurrection is almost enough," he murmured.
He was in no rush.
There were countless demons in this world.
It would be wasteful not to make use of them.
He glanced at the sky.
"I wonder if Kikyo has been resurrected yetâŠ"
His thoughts were interrupted when something unusual appeared on the horizon.
A dark thundercloud.
It rolled violently, filled with flashes of lightning.
Yet the surrounding sky was completely clear.
"That's no natural storm."
His eyes sharpened.
A demon capable of creating such a phenomenon was no ordinary one.
It was either a powerful Great Demonâ
Or connected to the Shikon Jewel.
Either wayâ
It was worth investigating.
Without hesitation, he released his Transformation Jutsu. His Edo Tensei body appeared in full.
Chakra surged beneath his feet.
He shot forward like an arrow.
---
A Field of Slaughter
Ten minutes later, he arrived at the area where the thundercloud had formed.
The storm had already dispersed.
What remained was devastation.
Lightning craters scarred the earth.
The soil was blackened and smoking.
Corpses lay everywhere.
Armored soldiers.
Warhorses.
Even cattle.
Two armies had clearly been fighting.
But both had been completely annihilated.
And none of the bodies showed signs of being eaten.
"This wasn't hunting," Uchiha Lie muttered. "This was slaughter."
His expression grew cold.
He did not particularly care for the humans of this era.
But demons who killed purely for pleasureâ
Those he disliked even more.
He closed his eyes briefly and sensed the lingering demonic aura.
Strong.
Very strong.
And moving fast.
He began pursuing the trail.
The demonic aura moved almost in a straight line, ignoring rivers and mountains.
"It can fly," he concluded.
He enhanced his body with chakra and accelerated.
Across rivers.
Up cliffs.
Through dense forests.
He could not flyâ
But his speed rivaled anything on land.
As he got closer, he realized something surprising.
There were two distinct demonic auras.
---
The Eerie Manor
Soon, he arrived at a barren mountain where not even grass grew.
A manor stood on the mountainside.
Black tiles.
White walls.
Dark clouds looming overhead.
The entire place radiated a heavy, oppressive atmosphere.
"This must be it."
---
Inside the Manor
Within a room deep inside, Hiten stood with lightning crackling faintly around his hand. He held a female demon lazily in his arms.
"Manten," he said casually to his younger brother, "did you find any new shard of the Shikon Jewel?"
Manten scratched his head nervously.
"Brother⊠I found one. But I couldn't help myselfâŠ"
He gestured toward a girl sitting blankly on a nearby bed.
It was Kagome Higurashi.
Hiten's face darkened instantly.
"You mean you lost the shard⊠and only brought back this human woman?!"
Lightning erupted violently from his palm.
The female demon in his arms had no time to scream.
She was engulfed in electricityâ
And reduced to charcoal in an instant.
Her body collapsed lifelessly to the floor.
Kagome trembled, squeezing her eyes shut.
---
Outside
At that very moment, Uchiha Lie sensed the sudden surge of demonic power inside the manor.
A faint smile curved on his lips.
"Found them."
He moved silently, arriving just outside the room.
He sensed three presences inside.
Two demons.
And Kagome.
"So I've stepped into the plot again."
He glanced up at the lightning flickering across the sky.
"Thunder clouds. Two demons."
Understanding dawned.
"The Thunder Beast Brothers⊠Hiten and Manten."
He slowly drew the samurai sword at his waist.
Chakra poured into the blade.
Wind Release energy condensed along its edge, forming a white chakra wind blade.
"Wind Release: Vacuum Blade."
He wasn't certain if this world followed the same elemental rules as his own.
But wind cutting lightning was always a safe bet.
He had learned something during his travels.
Demons in this world were not necessarily refined fighters.
But their physical durabilityâ
Was exceptional.
An ordinary blade would shatter against their bodies.
But a chakra-enhanced weapon could cut through demonic power like flesh.
---
The Confrontation
The door slid open.
Hiten and Manten stepped out, dragging Kagome with them.
They were preparing to find Inuyasha and seize more shards.
But they froze.
Blocking their path stood Uchiha Lie.
Sword drawn.
Wind chakra humming along its edge.
Hiten's expression darkened.
"Who are you? How dare you invade our territory?"
Lightning crackled around him.
Manten bared his teeth.
Kagome's eyes widened.
"Lie!"
Uchiha Lie slowly lifted his head.
Scarlet Sharingan bloomed in his eyes.
Three tomoe rotated slowly.
Cold killing intent filled the air.
"Hand over the Shikon Jewel shard."
His voice was calm.
But absolute.
"And I'll leave your corpses intact."
The wind howled across the barren mountain.
Lightning flashed above.
And beneath the stormâ
A battle between thunder and wind was about to begin.
