I won't deny that things are finally starting to patch themselves together. My relatives are incredibly kind, and with their direction, I manage to find Mila.
Contrary to what my aunt is told, Mila actually works as an Omega in a guesthouse and bar on the outskirts of the pack. She's rarely home because she works like a beast of burden; considering the sheer volume of labor, the pay certainly isn't worth it. But Mila has her ways.
After a grueling week in the Omega section of Hilltop's, Mila decides we should be the guests for once. "We only live once," she tells me, her face full of conviction. "The present is all we have, so we have to live now."
Honestly? I understand her. Omegas are the Moon Goddess's creatures, too. We've spent an entire week cleaning up after the wayward children of Alphas and Betas; one night of fun won't hurt.
