"You had to bear another child? Not even a son, but another useless daughter!"
Huh?
"Don't say that about your sister, Kuzon!"
Nyssa blinked, then turned to face Aveline, who was simply watching the scene unfold. She leaned closer to her.
"Where is this?"
She didn't even let her know where they were heading to. And this looked like a room.
"Just watch," Aveline replied softly.
Nyssa sighed and turned back to the view.
The man named Kuzon laughed harshly. "Sister? I don't consider that thing my sister. I leave this county for twelve moons, and suddenly I come back to see my mother with a baby. And where the hell is Father?" He snorted and stormed out of the room.
Nyssa's brows scrunched. What sort of rude person was that?
His mother sat on the bed, with tears streaming down her cheeks as she cradled the crying infant in her arms.
"Shh, Aveline. Don't cry anymore, okay? Big brother is just tired today. He loves you. Always remember that."
