Queen Ella stomped her foot angrily when she saw Alvin recklessly charging forward again.
In frustration she immediately turned toward Hanafuda's subordinates instead.
In the blink of an eye several pirates were instantly frozen into ice sculptures by her ability.
"Hmph."
Hanafuda snorted coldly, his eyes filled with contempt.
"Do you really think my strength ends there?"
Before his words fully finished, he acted.
His left hand gripped the chain connected to the meteor hammer like an iron clamp.
The muscles in his arm bulged violently.
With a loud roar he swung the weapon directly toward Alvin.
The meteor hammer tore through the air with violent force, producing sharp whistling sounds like a roaring beast.
Alvin reacted instantly.
His feet pushed against the ground as his entire body spun like a whirlwind.
The meteor hammer barely brushed past his clothes as it flew by.
Before he even regained his balance Alvin used the momentum to strike back.
His blade flashed with cold light as it slashed toward Hanafuda's arm.
Hanafuda stared at the approaching blade.
A strange smile appeared on his face.
There was no panic at all.
Alvin instantly felt suspicious.
Why was Hanafuda not dodging?
At that exact moment a sharp sense of danger erupted behind him.
A bone chilling killing intent pierced through the air.
Not good.
It was Hanafuda's scythe.
Alvin instantly unleashed his full strength.
Almost at the same moment he sensed the danger he twisted his wrist and swung Chronicle backward.
At the same time his left leg shot forward like a cannonball and slammed violently toward Hanafuda's legs.

A deafening metallic collision rang out.

"Bastard!" Hanafuda roared furiously.
Without his scythe his fighting strength would drop greatly.
He had never expected Alvin to cut the chain so easily.
Furious, he grabbed the chain connected to the meteor hammer with both hands.
He lifted it high and swung it violently toward Alvin.
Alvin quickly dodged sideways.
He barely avoided the attack when suddenly a massive dark shadow crashed directly toward him.
"Watch out!" Ella shouted urgently when she saw the situation.
Alvin had no time to dodge.
With a heavy thud he was struck directly by the shadow and sent flying backward.
While he was airborne he finally saw what had hit him.
It was Hanafuda's massive lizard tail.
Alvin flew more than ten meters before crashing onto the ground.
Several ice floor tiles shattered beneath him before he finally stopped sliding.
"Nice attack."
"But the power is a little lacking."
Alvin slowly stood up and brushed the ice fragments off his clothes.
His expression became much more serious.
As expected from someone who once fought Kaido in his youth.
This guy truly had some strength.
Seeing that Alvin was unharmed, the worry in Ella's heart finally eased.
"Arrogant!"
Hanafuda roared furiously.
As the user of a top tier Ancient Zoan Devil Fruit, being mocked like this by a rookie who had just entered the Grand Line was a complete humiliation.

Just as he tried to swing the meteor hammer again, Alvin's crimson blade was already slashing toward the hand holding the weapon.
Hanafuda quickly coated his arm with Armament Haki to defend.
With the protection of both his scales and Haki, Alvin could not cut through his arm directly.
So Alvin changed his target.
His blade struck the chain instead.
Crack.
The heavy meteor hammer fell to the ground again.
"Get lost!" Alvin shouted.
He raised his right leg high.
All his strength gathered into a single kick.
Like a fired cannonball, the kick smashed violently into Hanafuda's stomach.

Hanafuda had no time to react.
He was blasted backward by the tremendous force.
