Chapter 35 - Chapter 35. Riolu of route 113

The forest of Route 113 was alive with rustling leaves and distant bird calls. The dense trees created shifting shadows, and sunlight barely reached the forest floor.

Elior and his Pokémon—Infernyx, Voltiger, and Lunashade—walked carefully along a winding path. He had a feeling something unusual was stirring deeper in the forest.

Suddenly, a scream pierced the air. It was not human, but a sharp, desperate cry—a call for help.

"Over there!" Elior shouted, running toward the sound.

Through the thick underbrush, he stumbled upon a clearing—and his eyes widened.

A small group of Riolu were cornered by a vicious, dark Pokémon. Its eyes glinted with malice, and its shadow stretched over the terrified family.

One young Riolu, its fur singed and one paw wounded, was separated from the others and struggling to stand. It looked toward Elior with wide, pleading eyes.

Infernyx roared and stepped forward, flames flaring, while Voltiger sparked electricity along the ground. Lunashade's shadow stretched, warning the intruder to back off.

The dark Pokémon snarled and lunged toward the injured Riolu.

Elior acted immediately.

"Voltiger, Thunder Strike!"

A bolt of lightning shot forward, cutting through the shadows and startling the attacker.

Infernyx unleashed a controlled Flame Burst, forcing the enemy to retreat slightly.

But it wasn't enough. The Pokémon was fast, clever, and fueled by malice.

Elior knelt beside the wounded Riolu.

"Hey… it's okay," he said softly. "I'll help you. But you need to fight back too. Can you do that?"

The Riolu's amber eyes met his. A flicker of determination sparked.

"Now!" Elior shouted. "Lunashade, cover its flank!"

The Riolu rose to its paws. Its wounds were still fresh, but it moved with surprising speed and agility. Elior guided it, giving commands and encouragement as they circled the enemy together.

The dark Pokémon charged again—but Riolu leapt, striking with a well-timed Quick Attack. Voltiger's electricity crackled nearby, forcing the foe to dodge, and Infernyx's flames flared in tandem.

With Elior's strategy and Riolu's newfound courage, the dark Pokémon was driven off, retreating into the shadows with a final snarl.

The forest went quiet again.

Riolu collapsed onto the soft grass, breathing heavily. Elior knelt beside it.

"You did it," he said gently. "You protected your family. You were amazing."

The Riolu's eyes shone with trust for the first time. It stepped closer to Elior and nuzzled his hand, as if acknowledging the bond they had just formed.

Infernyx exhaled a small puff of fire in approval. Voltiger's sparks softened, and Lunashade's silver eyes glimmered faintly.

Elior smiled.

"I think… we'll make a great team, you and I."

The other Riolu approached cautiously, sniffing Elior and his Pokémon, then huddling together near their injured sibling. Peace had returned—for now.

Elior looked toward the deeper forest.

"Let's get you somewhere safe," he said. "And after that… we train. Together."

Somewhere above, the shadows of Team Umber shifted in the distance. But in the heart of Route 113, a new bond had been forged—one of trust, courage, and the promise of battles yet to come.

And the journey continues....
