Evening settled over Emberfall City. Steam rose from the canals, glowing softly under the city lights as Elior walked through the busy streets.
Riolu trotted beside him, its ears twitching with curiosity. Infernyx's flames flickered gently in the warm air, Voltiger rested on Elior's shoulder, and Lunashade moved silently through the shadows behind them.
Ahead stood the large stone building Elior had noticed earlier.
A metal sign above the entrance read:
Emberfall Research Laboratory
"This place studies ancient energy," Elior said quietly. "Maybe someone here knows something about that titan."
He pushed open the doors.
Inside, the laboratory buzzed with activity. Large monitors displayed maps and strange energy readings. Researchers moved quickly between machines that hummed with power.
One scientist noticed Elior and walked toward him.
She was a calm-looking woman wearing a white research coat. Her eyes were sharp and intelligent.
"Welcome," she said politely. "I'm Dr. Selene."
Elior nodded.
"I'm Elior. I just came from Ignivar Town… something happened there."
The moment he said "Ignivar," her expression changed.
"Then you must have met my younger sister," she said.
Elior blinked.
"Your sister?"
"Yes," Selene replied. "Professor Kaedra."
Elior immediately remembered the researcher who had helped him there.
"She told me someone might come here," Selene continued. "Someone who witnessed the awakening."
Elior stepped closer to one of the glowing monitors.
"That Pokémon… the titan underground… an organization took it."
He clenched his fist.
"Team Umber."
Several researchers nearby suddenly looked worried.
Dr. Selene sighed softly.
"We feared that would happen."
She tapped a control panel.
The large screen changed, displaying an ancient stone carving.
At the center of the carving was a massive Pokémon with a body like living magma and glowing cracks across its armor.
"This is the creature you saw," Selene said.
"It is called Pyrotherion."
Riolu stared at the screen, fascinated.
Infernyx's flames flickered more intensely.
Voltiger sparked nervously.
Lunashade's silver eyes glowed faintly.
Selene continued.
"According to ancient records, Pyrotherion is one of the Elemental Titans that once protected the balance of the world."
She zoomed the image out, revealing old symbols surrounding the titan.
"It slept beneath Ignivar for centuries, sealing immense volcanic energy beneath the earth."
Elior crossed his arms.
"And now Team Umber has it."
Selene nodded.
"If they learn to control Pyrotherion, they could unleash catastrophic power."
Suddenly—
A loud alarm echoed through the laboratory.
Red lights flashed across the room.
One of the researchers shouted.
"Energy spike detected!"
Selene rushed to another screen.
The monitor displayed a new location in the northern mountains.
Her eyes widened.
"It's Pyrotherion…"
Elior stepped forward.
"What's happening?"
Selene looked at him seriously.
"Team Umber has begun extracting its energy."
Riolu clenched its fists.
Infernyx's flames surged.
Lunashade's shadow expanded across the floor.
Elior stared at the glowing map.
"So they're already starting their plan…"
Selene nodded grimly.
"Yes."
She turned toward him.
"And if no one stops them soon… the awakening of Pyrotherion could destroy everything."
The room fell silent.
Elior slowly tightened his grip on his Pokéball.
His journey had just taken a far more dangerous turn.
And somewhere in the distant mountains—
The ancient titan Pyrotherion had begun to stir.
And the journey continues..
