CHAPTER – 9
John is sitting on a chair in a very dark room with two spotlights. One on him and other in front of him on the ground. A person walking from a far come and stand on the spotlight. They are both in front of each other. John being extremely curious asks the man.
"Uh…Hello, Sir??"
"…"
"Sir??"
"You shouldn't have done it!"
"Done what??"
"Your existence is a curse itself!"
"What did I DO!? And what is it that I shouldn't have done!?!"
"You should have never written the story. The novel! YOU made my life hell!!! I will kill you!!!"
The man rushes towards John. John screams in terror. When the man confronts John. John realizes that the man's face is familiar. He shivers in fear as he realizes the man is none other than him. He screams again just to wake up from a dream. He is full of sweat and fear. Syd enters the room.
"Hey John Good Mor-, Hey! Why are you crying?!?"
John realizes that tears are falling from his eyes for no reasons.
"I-I don't know."
"And why are you full of sweat??"
"Maybe a b-bad dream."
Syd hugs him and consoles him.
"Hey John, its alright…..the dream is over now"
The pats on head from Syd calms him down. Daniel enters the room.
"Hey gu-, Am I interrupting something??"
"No! He just saw a bad dream so I'm just calming him down!"
"Ooo….."
"Yess! And why are you here??"
"Oh! Yeah I came here to take John for training!"
"HUH!? TRAINING?!"
"Uh…Yeah??"
"Without me?!?"
"Um…ye-"
Syd gets up and punches Daniel with full power.
"OWW…..WTF!?"
"Don't include me in the plan and it won't be your stomach I punch next time!"
Daniel invites her to training her as well.
"So….tell me what do both of you think the best role that fits you??"
"I think Syd is just useless, She didn't kill any goblin in the previous dungeon. I think she will be a good heal-"
Another punch straight on face but this time it was John. Daniel starts thinking.
(Dang! This girl scares me more than the CALAMITY itself! But about her role, I think I can use her as tank or total offensive. Yeah! That fits her and as for John....)
"Hey! You two come here! So….I thought about it. Syd will be total offensive. A strength and tank build. As for you! John! You will make be an overall."
"W-what's an overall??"
"Think of it as an all rounder."
"WHAT!? Whyyy?!?!?"
"Why? Is there a problem??"
"Yes there is a fucking problem! This overall means ill need to learn all offense, defense, support and healing!"
"Yes! 10 marks for your intelligence!"
"I WILL kill you, you bastard!!!"
"If you say, I wont train you, your call!"
"Y-you asshole!!!"
"Hehe"
Syd is now super happy because she will finally learn something cool. As for John he needs to learn EVERYTHING. Daniel starts their training. He tell Syd to improve her physical stats i.e. Strength , speed, stamina, durability. Meanwhile John is asked to meditate to stabilize and increase his mana.
(No way that bastard told me meditate!!! I swear I will kill him!)
Syd is tired of all the training. Daniel is just ruthless.
"If you want to get strong then you must remember that you maximum power is someone's minimum power!"
John and Syd with a sync.
"GO FUCK YOURSELF!!!"
After a whole day of training and cursing Daniel, John and Syd finally rest. Syd goes to sleep and John checks his levels. He gained 2 levels for meditating the whole day so his every stat was increased by 2 except the mana. John realizes that by completing quests and leveling up boosted his stats per level. But when he worked for something specific, he levelled up again and all his stats increased too but his mana increased by 10 levels.
"This is too complex man! I need some sleep too!"
He sleeps next to Syd. He gets the vision again. He sees the PILLAR OF CALAMITY again.
"Huh? I'm here again??"
"YES YOU ARE"
"But why??"
"I SEE YOU ARE TRAINING WITH DANIEL."
"Yes I am. So what??"
"YOU NEED SOMEONE STRONGER."
"There is NOONE stronger than Daniel."
"OH YOU INSOLENT CREATURE. IM NOT HERE TO GIVE YOU AN ADVICE. I ORDER YOU TO GO TO THE SIX COMMANDRS. THEY WILL HELP YOU TO TRAIN AND GET STRONGER."
"Huh!? But why them??"
"YOU DON'T NEED ANSWERS RIGHT NOW. GET TO LEVEL 1000 AND I WILL BRING YOU HERE AGAIN."
His vision ends. Its daytime again.
"Oh you cant be serious!!! I spent whole night talking to him!?!?"
Daniel calls both of them down.
"So…today we will be doing a dungeon!"
"Let's gooooo!!! Just you wait John ill show you!"
"Umm…..John wont be coming!"
"Wha-why?!?"
"He need to improve his mana."
"Huh? Well…..John….Sucks to be you!!!"
Daniel and Syd laugh at John.
"Go Die both of you!"
They both leave for the dungeon. John starts doing his meditation again in his room.
*knock*
"Who's there!?!"
Within a second the door is destroyed. The one who did it is a commander. A commander with a green shiny armour that reflected John's fear of death. It was the sixth commander. John tries to speak but he cuts his hand off.
*slash*
"Oh! Too bad…I missed the head!"
John senses extreme power gap. His arm on the ground with blood dripping on floor.
*scream*
(Why this psycho!? What does he want from me?!? Daniel…..save me!!!)
[QUICK REGEN skill is in use]
"Quick Regen huh? Then the rumors are not false. "NULLIFY!"
[QUICK REGEN skill is nullified by an outer force]
(WHAT!? HOW!? NO! Please tell me this is a dream!!!)
