{ Heimer and I kept on walking till we reached the gate, he told me about how the empire's situation had been gradually becoming better.
Right now it was multitudes better than it was six months ago, the result of the king's leadership.
Then we turned around walking towards the camp.}
"You seem to have adapted fully now, you even made friends." Heimer looked finally at Leo.
Leo smiled a bit and scratched his head.
"It's all thanks to you and Ren, I honestly don't know how to repay you.
Thank you so much" Leo said to Heimer with a heart full of emotions.
Heimer smiled a bit.
"There is no reason to thank me, it was partly my fault for approving the order from the higher ups.
Maybe it was a sense of guilt that led me to order Ren to go help you and your friend, quite sad that he couldn't make it.
Yet another death in my hands.
But from that moment onwards, I took you under my wing." Heimer patted Leo on his shoulder.
There was silence between them for a while.
"It leads me to ask, how were you framed as criminals?" Heimer asked fondly.
Leo beared a slight frown.
"It all started at the relay camp…"
Leo explained all that had happened in the relay camp in the walls, rather all that he had known about without omitting a detail.
"…That's all that happened" The frown intensified.
"What stupid rules were those, children paying for their parents sins has never been part of the army.
Also, what did you say the name of the one who opened the gate was, who was he to possess such authority over a corporal?" Heimer asked.
"Kenneth, his name was Kenneth." Leo replied.
"Never have I heard of a Kenneth holding a tank equal or above that of corporals in this army, and as for the corporal…
Curth was it?
He ran away before he could be interrogated, though we have tried looking for him, yet we haven't found him.
It's a shame we didn't have this information sooner, what he told Lana before he was taken down was entirely different from this.
And the only one we could interrogate was the messenger we had sent to deliver news of arrival;
He ended his own life by biting his tongue." Heimer looked deeply troubled.
He looked at Leo again.
"I feel like there is more to this than meets the eye, we'll have to increase the search for your missing friends, as well as for the man named Kenneth.
We have to get to the bottom of this." Heimer had a growing frown.
Leo looked disturbed as well as they approached the camp.
"Forty nine" Caesar's voice was slightly audible from where he sat.
–
They reached the camp and the twins knelt in front of Heimer.
"That is fifty laps, you can stop.
Oh? You both barely broke a sweat.
It looks like that punishment wasn't enough." Heimer said to them with a tone that hinted sarcasm and seriousness.
The twins began sweating forcefully.
"That's more like it, don't be late next time." Heimer dismissed them.
They stood and ran to Caesar who was sill sitting there thanking him for skipping some laps.
"It's nothing really, Leo actually came up-" Caesar looked towards Leo who was gesturing him to hush.
"...S- sure, what are roommates for" Caesar replied then awkwardly.
Leo walked with his staff to the training grounds as someone watched him.
"Someone looks interested…" Zefroth said to Fiona.
"I'm just wandering if he's going to that place, but he's heading the opposite direction." Fiona responded then turned to look at Zefroth.
Fiona tilted her head a bit.
"You look agitated, what is going on?" She looked at Zefroth's face that looked alright.
"What do you mean by that?
I'm not worried about anything." Zefroth said calmly, with her voice getting a bit louder at the end.
She looked at Fiona's pale face that much like hers always had a coordinated look almost cold yet not, but unlike hers it hardly showed strong emotion.
"But it shows on your face, if you don't want to tell me it's alright." Fiona shrugged it off.
"It's something trivial, don't worry about it" Zefroth assured.
"Trivial yet your heart beats so fast.
Sure I won't" Fiona chose to respect Zefroth's decision.
She turned to the direction Leo was walking to, he wasn't there any longer, then she turned around and sat on her bed.
–
Leo walked into the training field expecting a little bit of quietness, but saw two people there sparring already.
"They just brought the weapons and they're already here." Leo made a hypocritical remark in his mind as he looked at the two spar, with a smirk on his face.
He chose to seat and watch the two fight.
{At first watching her was about copying her techniques and liking the way she fights.
I wanted to move like her so I watched from a distance, strangely enough even after being learnt, I still saw myself watching her.
Then I decided to talk to her, she was so welcoming and open that the feelings that were in my heart blossomed.
I don't know If what I'm feeling is love or admiration, but it makes my heart tremble.
So now I sit here thinking; "should I tell her? How should I? Will she accept me?"
These thoughts run rampant, they're nearly done fighting, I'll go tell her.}
Leo stood up and took a step forward.
With a final strike pushing both back Herra fell on one knee, Clarence stretched her left hand to aid her.
The sun reflected on the ring on her ring finger, it had a flower engraving.
"That was a good one, it's been a while since you've bested me." Herra said to Clarence.
"That's what happens when we have more draws than either of us has wins." Clarence said.
[Fwish]
!
The two girls turned to the direction of the path leading there.
"What was that just now, I thought there was someone there." Clarence asked in shock.
"I don't think there was...
Must have being the wind." Herra remarked.
And they went for another round.
