Livia was still gazing out after the two Alphas who left the hall. Aldus noticed her gaze and felt a surge of anger, especially when his wolf spoke up,
> "How ugly do we look in her eyes that she can't even bear to look at us for half a minute? I want her to look at us the way she looks at your friends. Look at her, the two Alphas are already gone, but she's still staring out." The wolf's words further fueled Aldus's anger.
"Shut up!" he growled at his wolf.
A few seconds later, he cleared his throat to get Livia's attention. Livia on the other hand got startled and immediately turned to look at him.
When she did, her eyes widened as she realized that the Lycan King was still carrying the sleeping Abby. She quickly bowed her head and apologized.
"Sorry, Your Majesty. I'll take Abby now. I'll carry her to bed." She reached out to take the child, but Aldus suddenly walked away, avoiding her outstretched hands.
