I let out a sound that was more growl than laugh, and Grimm's presence pressed so close to the surface that I felt my vision sharpen, felt the edges of my control start to fray.
"Recovery," I spat. "That bastard is trying to toss the blame on some unknown distributor. Playing the victim. Acting like he didn't know exactly what he was doing when he shoved Moon Core fragments down his daughter's throat to make her valuable enough to keep his throne."
I stalked toward the North Lunar Nexus chamberâthe place where the keystone had once rested, where divine power had once stabilized the moon's radiation and kept the natural order intact.
Now it was just an empty pedestal. A hole where something sacred should have been.
