Seoha's POV
My breath catches in my throat as I stay rigid.
The alpha's rain-like scent is stable, but my scent isn't, my vanilla pheromone spikes from soothing calm to burning fear.
The child between us is sleeping soundly, I am wide awake and he's half asleep, and half naked with the smell of smoke still clinging to his skin.
He's pressing the gun with all intentions to shoot.
I'm terrified. His hand doesn't shake while mine quiver even as I grip the bed sheet for my dear life.
"I ju- I just need to pee" I lie and he chuckles, he sounds genuinely amused and the sound is rough and deep.
"Fine then" he says with small groan and puts the gun down.
I get up from the bed with my legs shaking, I can barely stand properly, and he makes it worse by rolling out of the bed, he looks at me as I look at him.
What is going on?
"Go" he orders and I walk to the bathroom, knees knocking together with every unstable step I take, I open the door and step in.
Just when I am about to shut the door and take a breather, it swings open and the alpha stands there, leaning against the frame with heavy eyes…or is it from the sleepiness or from the cigarette?
I stare at him with wide eyes in confusion.
Under the bathroom light, the alpha looks bigger, his chest is built with tattoos all over his torso.
Right above his heart on chest is his daughter's name; Kang Sooin.
'He really loves his daughter' my omega says and I drop my eyes to stop myself from looking further and making a fool of myself more than I've done already.
"Satisfied?" Taesan asks and I look back up at his face with a frown, the alpha is wearing that same mocking smile, his black hair frames his face in a way that looks almost unreal.
"W-what?" I ask.
"Pee" he says and juts his chin towards the toilet bowl; I wasn't pressed before but suddenly my bladder feels full as I look from the alpha to the toilet seat.
Pee?
"What?" I repeat and he walks further into the bathroom, gun in hand as he hooks his thumb in his pants waistband, a silent threat and warning wrapped in one.
"Should I repeat myself?" he asks with a single brow arched and my omega whimpers as I shake my head.
I really shouldn't have robbed him. I really should have just gone to my best friend's house and waited at the reception.
How am I supposed to take off my pants and pee in front of a man I have only known for less than four hours? Even my boyf- ex boyfriend has never shared the bathroom with me before.
"Y-you…" I stutter, not sure how to ask him to leave when my legs are vibrating this much, I have never seen a gun like this before, and I have never had anyone else look at my body like this before.
I manage to say, "Please leave" in a small voice, and he eyes me from head to toe, like he's assessing me and judging me for something.
"Two minutes" he says and leaves the bathroom, closing the door quietly behind him.
My legs give out the moment he walks out, the sweat that I didn't know was beading on my face slides down my face, heat from inside makes me shake.
I press hand to my face and then to my chest, my heart has almost left my chest at least seven times today, I keep going from one trouble into another.
"One minute forty seconds" Taesan's voice calls from outside the bathroom and I hurry with my business, forcing myself to pee into the bowl and then washing my hands.
"Ten seconds" he says after a few moments and I open the door, keeping my head down to avoid his eyes, the gun has been tucked into his pants, pressing against the skin of his V line.
"I'm done" I say and he nods towards the bed, I don't wait for him to say anything else before I climb in, lying next to Sooin.
The second I am settled in, Sooin moves closer to me, and I stay frozen with my eyes on Taesan as the little girl seeks out my scent gland.
Taesan growls at the action and I keep my eyes on him, panicking that even in her sleep, she wants me.
"Don't wake her" he says and goes to lie on the other side of the bed, I let my body relax and Sooin mutters something in her sleep.
Her baby milk scent with the undertone of fresh cotton mixes mine in a beautiful way.
I hear Taesan exhale and place the gun next to the nightstand. With the gun away, I relax completely, letting the scent of the child ease me.
I'll lie tonight next to a stranger and by tomorrow I'll find my way.
She nuzzles my scent gland, releasing more of my scent and I shut my eyes, giving into the pull of sleep and relaxation.
I don't know how long I slept for but when I wake up, I find that Sooin is half lying on her father, the man has his arm resting on her.
The pair are deeply asleep, this has to be my real chance to leave, this has to be my way out of this mess.
I get out of the bed, this time the man doesn't move, I find my clothes that are now completely dried but smell of the heavy pheromones from last night's distress.
I put them on quickly and place the alpha's stolen wallet on the table where he'll be able to see it.
Kang Taesan, I will find how to replace your money.
Kang Sooin, I wish you all the love in the world.
I sneak out of the room and I look back; I might be hallucinating but I see a smile on Taesan's face…
