The dragon focused its gaze on the duo of girls, the pressure emanating from it was incredibly strong.
"Dannep, what the hell did you do? How did you wake him up? That... makes no sense. Redryth never wakes up from magical attacks," Zafiro asked nervously.
"I don't know, it wasn't my intention, I'm sorry, I really don't know what happened," Dannep replied, just as nervous as her companion.
She expected to be a disaster in her first lesson, but she didn't expect something like this, she didn't expect this this is bad.
GRAWWWL!
The growl exploded through the place as it began to draw in air, the whole place shook with it as if an earthquake had fallen upon the area.
Both of them fell to the ground because of it, they were in serious trouble.
The creature returned to its calm state, Dannep realized at that moment they weren't looking at them.
That thing was looking at her, it was as if it were curious about Dannep.
"Run Dannep, I can create a defensive spell while Ilyss arrives, surely everyone in the castle heard the roar," Zafiro replied, beginning to charge mana into her wand.
As if it understood what she had just said, the dragon opened the fauces of its mouth and a great light began to emerge from it, it was ready to attack.
"No, it's my fault, I won't leave, you go, I'm the one responsible," Dannep said, placing herself in front of the creature.
"It wants me, if I move away from Zafiro it won't hit her," she thought while opening her arms.
"God, you really are a stupid woman, go!" Zafiro shouted, casting a water spell at the dragon's mouth, but it had no effect.
The light began to materialize into a large sphere that the dragon was preparing to launch.
"Hey, I just arrived and you're already putting me to work, I heard the roar from the other side of the castle."
But to both of their surprise, Seraphin was standing on one of the dragon's wings.
The creature focused its eyes on her, who in comparison to the other two maintained a smile.
"How did she get there?" Dannep thought, she hadn't seen her arrive.
"Ah, I had forgotten you were here," Zafiro said a bit calmer.
Dannep was still nervous, that creature was charging a fireball to destroy them, what did it matter if Seraphin was here or not.
"Yes, you were lucky compared to Blueryth, Redryth is very temperamental so I'll take care of this first," she said while pointing at the dragon's mouth and then snapping her fingers.
A great wave of magical energy expanded through the place, touching everyone around it, the fireball that was forming in the dragon's fauces vanished instantly.
Not only that, Dannep began to feel safer, as if an angel were covering her with its arms, it was strange.
"Now I need to put him to sleep, so..." Seraphin jumped from the creature's wings and positioned herself right on its head.
"Sleep, it wasn't Dannep's intention to wake you, sleep," the woman said while stroking the creature and wrapping her hand in mana.
The dragon slowly calmed down, stopping its gaze on Dannep and beginning to walk back to where it had been before, lying down again.
"God!!, what the hell were you doing? Good thing I had plenty of mana, that thing could have killed you girls!" Seraphin shouted as she climbed down from the dragon and approached the other two.
"Wait... How? It's Ilyss's dragon, why did it obey you?" Dannep asked, confused.
"Hey, instead of interrogating your savior you should say thanks, you're asking too many questions," Seraphin replied with a look of disdain.
Dannep closed her eyes clearly embarrassed, it hadn't been her intention to interrogate her.
"I will say thank you, I really got scared when he woke up, Dannep what did you do?" Zafiro asked with curiosity.
"I just did what you told me, I don't think I did anything special, maybe we just had bad luck."
"No. You definitely did something, maybe you didn't see it because your eyes were closed, but your mana shot was pretty good for your first time, it was dense and the energy was solid," Zafiro replied.
"Ohh, so you're saying we have a magical prodigy here? Now you intrigue me even more," Seraphin added with a smile.
"A prodigy? Me? I don't think so maybe it was just luck," Dannep said to herself.
"Well, since I fixed your mistake, tomorrow you're going out with me on a date alright?" Seraphin said, winking.
"Eh?" Dannep replied, confused.
"Don't worry, it's just to get to know you, I liked seeing you step forward so the dwarf wouldn't get hurt, you're brave, ah, I have to go sorry. If you're interested in the date you can look for me in my room later. Don't worry I told the others I was coming when they heard the roar you can go back to what you were doing."
After saying that the woman left with a smile, heading back to the castle.
"Me, brave?" Dannep asked herself while smiling.
Seraphin gave her a strange kind of confidence, she didn't understand why but it felt good talking with her.
"Alright Dannep, the bad part is over now, how about we keep practicing," Zafiro interrupted her thoughts while moving her wand.
"But this time do it with your eyes open," she emphasized while making gestures with her eyes.
Nightfall arrived quickly, Dannep managed to launch seven more mana shots before feeling tired, unlike the first one the fear of hitting the dragon made it hard for her to concentrate completely.
So according to Zafiro they were average mana shots, something still surprising for someone who was still a novice.
After that both of them went to dinner with everyone including Yumi, Silvia's motherly sermon about how dangerous what they had done was didn't take long to arrive, and between apologies and laughter time passed.

"Alright, what do I wear?" Now Dannep had an even worse dilemma. What was she supposed to wear to go out with Ilyss? She had already used her four pieces of clothing.
Cythian liked it when she looked bad, but would Ilyss like that? Dannep thought while looking again at the dresses.
Knock, knock, knock.
The sounds of the door filled Dannep's room as she quickly went to open it.
When she did, she found Ilyss wearing an incredible golden dress, along with jewelry that matched it perfectly.
She was already beautiful, but now she was three times more so, and that only made Dannep more nervous, how was she going to go out with her?
"Seeing that you're still wearing your maid clothes, it seems I arrived at the right moment, here," Ilyss said, handing a dress to Dannep.
It was wine-colored, and it was obvious that it was of good quality.
"Also put on these heels, and this necklace, you can't refuse it's an order," she replied, already knowing how Dannep was going to respond.
"Thank you your highness... Ilyss, I'll put it on right away," Dannep said while making a grateful bow.
Ilyss smiled and then entered the room, locking the door behind her.
"Oh Dannep, is this the first time you've worn this kind of clothing, right?" the woman said with a flirtatious tone.
Dannep avoided her gaze before answering.
"Yes... Normally I wear more common clothes and... I don't usually wear jewelry," she replied nervously.
"Well then..." Ilyss approached Dannep, holding her by the back.
"I want to help you, take off your clothes."
