Soon, Lily brought the tea, a jar, and three cups. Our conversation was cut short as Linda dropped the old book on the bed beside me before helping Lily arrange everything on the table. Together, they prepared the tea, and once it was ready, Lily handed each of us a cup.
I took the opportunity to begin going through the book. Most of its contents were drawings, while only a few pages contained writings.
"What happened?" I asked. "Why was the class system created?"
Linda took a slow sip of her tea before answering.
"Greed." She sighed.
"We can't tell exactly how it happened because it did not happen in our time. What we know is that Lycans and werewolves were no longer able to produce children the way they used to. Some mates never produced children at all, while others still did.
The only difference was that there were no Moonseers who were without pups. We all had pups. In fact, a Moonseer could even have more than one pup, though that also became rare as time went on."
