Enzo stood in front of his chamber door for a while before finally going in. Arabella had been staying inside for most of the time, trying to avoid anything going wrong while everything in the palace remained uncertain. After what had happened recently, Enzo did not want her wandering around unnecessarily, especially with so many things still happening around them.
The moment Enzo walked into the room, Arabella stood up and went to him.
"How did it go?" she asked, searching his face for an answer.
Enzo shook his head and let out a tired breath. "Everything is on the balance. Any mistake I make, everything will crumble. That is why I have to go out myself and deal with Adrian once and for all, and then I can know the kingdom no longer has any external threat.
Then I can focus on fixing the Southern Kingdom and stripping them of their power. No kingdom would have the power the Southern Kingdom has again moving forward."
