Lucien stood there watching Sophia, feeling completely drained as he remembered the day he was told that Sophia had either been captured or was already dead. It felt like yesterday, the pain of hearing those words still fresh in his heart, and he remembered leaving to go meet Arabella and everyone else while carrying the thought that he might never get to see Sophia again.
Now she was standing right there in front of him.
