Jogo and Mahito stood on top of the meteor's remains, while Sukuna stood some 100 meters away at the edge of the crater.
"You should be exhausted from fighting Sukuna. Are you ok, Mahito?"
"I can still fight. I've got about half my cursed energy left."
Jogo chuckled to himself.
Then, the Meteor was cut in half, and Mahito and Jogo jumped from it, entering into fighting stances as Sukuna rapidly approached.
As he did so, Jogo used his abilities to manipulate his volcanic armour into a more refined form, covering more of his body, including his hands, except his palms, so he could use them for fire blasts.
Sukuna suddenly appeared right beside Jogo, before putting his hand to Jogo's chestplate.
"CLEAVE!"
Suddenly, Jogo's armour was partially cut, leaving marks in a grid pattern on it. Jogo reached his hand to burn Sukuna, but as he did, the king of curses had already disappeared.
Where did he go?!
Jogo looked up, and Sukuna was in the sky, smiling, right above him and Mahito.
"DISMANTLE!"
Mahito's head was suddenly partially cut with a soul-harming slash, but he healed it with cursed energy.
Jogo had produced 4 of his ember insects, and they began flying toward Sukuna.
Though, as they did, they were all cut apart by Sukuna at a distance, the recoil of the explosion pushing both Jogo and Mahito back.
"He's now using soul-harming slashes against me!"
Sukuna ran toward Mahito, kicking the cursed spirit even further back, toward the far end of the crater.
Mahito then formed blades on each of his arms as Sukuna approached.
Sukuna feigned a kick, causing Mahito to put his arms up to block, but Sukuna actually put his hand on Mahito's chest.
"Cleave!"
Mahito's chest was now showing deep cuts, showcasing his actual skin behind the new form. Sukuna pulled his hand back before punching Mahito, throwing him up into the air.
Jogo stayed close, near enough behind Sukuna to attack, but he didn't. He had other plans.
Sukuna jumped up and kept on hitting Mahito with repeated punches and kicks, eventually delivering one so strong that it threw him into the middle floor of a nearby office building, glass shattering and concrete breaking apart, opening a hole into it.
Sukuna jumped into it. By the time he did, Mahito was awaiting him in a fighting stance.
Jogo also jumped through the shattered glass window, now standing behind Sukuna, then he turned his palms forward.
With Jogo behind him and Mahito in front of him, Sukuna decided to escape through the side windows.
But when he turned his head to the left, he found a swarm of around 15 ember insects waiting on the other side of the glass.
He turned to the right, and it was the same thing.
Then, Jogo manifested two small volcanoes beside him, both pointing at Sukuna.
"Nowhere to run, king of curses!"
Sukuna smiled widely.
"I'm impressed."
Sukuna used two slashes to cut apart both side windows, exploding the ember insects on the other side as well.
Using the explosions as cover, Sukuna began running toward Mahito, who was still in his defensive position, but now had his vision clouded by the dust.
He attempted to sense Sukuna's soul, though it moved too fast, and the king of curses kicked Mahito forward, causing him to once again crash into the windows and fall, before jumping in after him.
Meanwhile, Jogo activated his cannons, sending a strong blast of fire in Sukuna's direction, though Jogo didn't see if it harmed Sukuna or not.
Jogo then jumped off after the two of them.
On the ground, Mahito was still attempting to block Sukuna, while being constantly thrown back by punches and kicks.
When Mahito reached to block a punch, Sukuna opened his palm, before touching Mahito's still-blocking arms.
"Cleave!"
Mahito's arms were cut apart, and before he could regenerate them, Sukuna punched him to the floor.
Jogo used this opportunity to send two large lava blasts in either of Sukuna's directions, before using RCT to harden them into volcanic rock, once again 'trapping' him.
Jogo then began to create a small, concentrated ball of fire between his two hands.
Sukuna saw Mahito begin to revert to his regular form and sensed his cursed energy begin to vanish. Having realized Mahito won't be a threat, he turned to Jogo.
"You're one clever curse, aren't yo-"
Suddenly, a blade from Mahito stabbed Sukuna from behind, hitting the stomach. Sukuna's eyes lost focus as blood began pooling in his mouth.
"How did you-"
Asked Jogo, clearly shocked.
"I can't alter my body in my improved form, so I returned to my regular one. I changed my soul's shape to better hide my cursed energy, effectively making my presence invisible! Neat, right?~"
Jogo then finished preparing his ball of fire, pointing it in Sukuna's direction.
"You two are very smart."
Said Sukuna, his voice now weaker.
"But it'll take more than that to beat me."
Suddenly, just as Jogo was about to use his fire blast, Sukuna reappeared above Jogo's volcanic rock barrier.
"How did you-"
Sukuna had made a binding vow.
He immediately healed his open wounds and gained a rapid burst of speed. In exchange, for the next 24 hours, he can only use slashes with 75% of their total attack power.
But Jogo and Mahito didn't know that.
Sukuna then began rapidly climbing up a nearby building, and Jogo and Mahito nodded at each other before doing so as well.
Sukuna had jumped to the building's roof and was standing there now.
Mahito finally got up on it, still in his regular form, while Jogo was carried up by his ember insects.
Mahito increased the size of his hand, attempting to grab Sukuna, but when he did, Sukuna quickly jumped up and severed Mahito's enlarged arm.
Just as he did, Jogo's ember insects appeared around him and exploded, sending Sukuna higher up in the air.
He managed to heal his burns with his RCT, though when he began falling again, Jogo was waiting for him, a small volcano forming right where Sukuna would land.
