The Sanctified Crown
Tabarnaouk is the elder capital of the Verdant Expanse.
It was grown, not built.
Towering silver-barked trees form natural spires, their canopies woven together to create living halls suspended above the forest floor. Bridges of braided vine and hardened sap connect platforms hundreds of feet in the air. Bioluminescent flora cast a gentle emerald glow at night.
Here, tradition holds firm.
The ruling conclave of Tabarnaouk believes:
- The Great Awakening was a wound to be endured, not exploited.
- Aether must never be harnessed deliberately.
- The forest must be protected from outside interference.
- The Aegis Spires are necessary — but unnatural.
Magic practiced here is subtle:
- Growth rites
- Barrier weaving
- Spirit communion
- Purification rituals
Tabarnaouk remains closest to what the elves once were.
But even here, the trees sometimes bend in directions no druid commanded.
And the elders know it.
