The Thorned Vanguard
Estiouk stands deeper within the partially corrupted territories — built where the forest first mutated after the Awakening.
Unlike Tabarnaouk, Estiouk was shaped with intention.
Massive living trees have been reinforced with Rift-resistant stone. Root systems are interwoven with sigil-carved pillars. Defensive wards pulse faintly at the city's perimeter.
Estiouk represents adaptation.
Its leadership believes:
- Aether cannot be ignored.
- The forest must evolve to survive.
- Controlled study of Rift energy is necessary.
- Isolation nearly doomed them once.
The elves of Estiouk are more militant.
More pragmatic.
Some bear visible signs of Aether exposure:
- Luminous eyes
- Bark-like skin patterns
- Veins faintly glowing beneath pale flesh
Their magic is sharper:
- Thorn manipulation
- Aether-infused archery
- Controlled mutation of flora
- Reality-stitching along forest edges
To outsiders, Estiouk feels tense — coiled like a drawn bow.
