Even Brian could sense something was off. Sienna barely touched her food. She sat there silently, pushing rice around her plate.
Across from her, Hunter had been watching her for the last ten minutes. Finally, he placed the fork down, "Sugar."
Sienna looked up instantly.
"Why are you so quiet? Everything good?"
"I'm good," She sighed softly, and when Hunter raised a brow, she shrugged with a small smile, "I'm on my period."
Hunter nodded in understanding, but he didn't look convinced. Before he could question her further, a car honked outside the house.
"That's probably Lina," She immediately pushed her chair back, trying to avoid looking at him.
"I … forgot to tell you," She said, still looking at her unfinished plate, "We planned a sleepover… at her place."
When he didn't say anything, she turned towards her room, "I'll grab my things."
A few minutes later, when she came back, she was carrying a small overnight bag over her shoulder.
