In less than an hour, Jayden sat in front of Sarah, having dinner together at Bicosso Grill, one of the restaurants they passed by in the car before. A few times, he was stealing glances at Sarah. Unfortunately, she didn't even lift her face to him. It bothered him, somehow; it screwed his appetite.
Jayden cleared his throat and then wiped his side of the mouth. Then, sharply stared at her. Yet, she didn't see him.
"Sarah?"
Sarah slightly lifted her eyes, then lowered again—only a glimpse of her cute pursed lips, annoyed with him.
"Are you mad at me?"
Jayden asked, as if he were consoling. Though he hadn't found any reason, he was hiding inside his heart.
Sarah kept pouting. Her doe brown eyes, with long, thick, pretty eyelashes, batted at him, making his heart pound. He sighed, then closed his eyes a few times, releasing the tension in his mind.
"I'm sorry," he subtly admitted out of nowhere.
Sarah slowly frowned. "Why?"
