The sound of a bell rang through her ears lightly.
[The authority has been activated]

Silence.
Utter silence.

—Wha-what the hell!—
Kyriaki, with her most startled voice, straggled on her four paws and fell on her butt very comically. Her usual composer and polite demeanor nowhere to be seen as she cursed at the monotone female voice that rang through her head.
—No, wait a minute—
She blinked, the words she heard were floating before her, on a very lavish and bright yet semi-transparent screen.
Maybe the utter ridiculous situation made her dragon ego forcefully compose herself, her thought process became very sharp and quick.
This type of situation… She had seen this kind of similar situation in countless trash novels that only followed unnecessary modern trends to satisfy reader demands. It left a bitter taste in her mouth as she felt as if she was living inside that kind of novel, with all the cliché tropes one could find black on earth.
The system.
Anyone who had been tossed into a dangerous world like Mitherr-ge would appreciate the thought of having a system to assist their growth and hard journey.
That same system has been manifested before her very eyes out of thin air.
'But isn't it an unspoken rule that the system is supposed to materialize at a grander time. Like when the host is in grave danger, in an awakening ceremony or when the host died? This is too…random'
Out of nowhere, in the most strange way possible, as if it wasn't much of a big deal, it appeared before her.
She observed the screen with suspicion.
A soft silver screen, with golden letters. It was designed as if it were from those fantasy themed games. But there was an undeniable fact, a fact about the screen that she couldn't ignore.
'It's too…holy.'
Yes, looking at the screen, only one word came to her mind; Holy.
Too much holy.
It reminded her of the mysterious entity.
The sun and moon, stars, galaxy, an opened book, interlocked rings…although they were somewhat ordinary when shingled out, seen plastered over the screen, they all looked divine. The only thing missing was the cross.
And that too…
Replacing the holy cross was an hourglass and four rings, like the image of a 3-dimensional atomic orbitals of electrons around an atom's nucleus; those rings surrounded the fancy hourglass.
Unlike the color of the screen and texts, those symbols and decorations were multicolored. Like the scattered light and vibrant rainbows created by glass crystals underneath the sun. It was indeed beautiful to the eyes.
However…
The sound of Kyriaki exhaling deeply broke the absence of deep silence.
—You— Her gaze fixed on the holographic screen, a low growl escaped her lips as she gritted her teeth.
—What the hell are you?—
The monotonous voice couldn't deceive Kyriaki.
The system was too unusual. It seemed to have an ego capable of making its own decisions and a superior perception. A lot better than an ordinary AI. As if a real person was controlling it.
Kyriaki naturally became cautious.
It wasn't absolutely because the system humiliated her by startling her that she was irritated deep down.

—I see— Kyriaki smiled gently, but with her dragon head and the eerie aura around her, the smile seemed a bit dark, almost creepy.
'I'll keep an eye on it for a while. But before then…'
—So, why did you appear now? I tried to summon you so many times, but there was no response—

If she had a human face, a vein would've popped up on Kyriaki's forehead as her smile grew wider.

—Tch…— Kyriaki clicked her tongue.
Her expression distorted to something cold, something calculating. If Elysium saw her, he'd have made a fuss about how his only daughter was more cold hearted than his wife.
—Show me my status window— She demanded.
It wasn't like she ever needed guidance. She was a former prisoner of time who was about to ascend divinity and currently a dragon, which was said to be wise and rational.
And most of all, she had memories and experience of her past life, where she had read so many novels—be it trash or peak—to understand what she had to do.

Usually, a hatchling was born with a better status window compared to other races. Unlike some unlucky races like humans who have to be awakened to receive a mana core and ranks, usually starting from G- even in vitality and intelligence, which is the lowest rank, Dragons were granted power from the beginning.
And then there were those anomalies, even among dragons, who were born with higher status once in a while. A living example was Kyrios. He was born with average B rank status, where hatchlings are usually limited from C to B-.
However for Kyriaki…

Kyriaki inspected her status window carefully for the fourth time.
With this, she'll have to adjust her plans a little. From her gifted memories, the only individual she deemed overpowered was Kyrios. If she was born one sub grade ahead of the same individual she deemed strong, that meant she could be way stronger.
While she was dwelling deep on her future plans, her eyes caught the title section.
She lifted her paw and pressed the title section of the semi-transparent screen. A pensive summary of her titles and its effect appeared before her.

As she was about to confront her system, the massive door to the hall swung open with a loud cry.
"My precious Yellow Diamond!!!" Elysium, on verge of tears, barged in with a much louder cry than the door.
—Ria!— Behind him was Kyrios, carried by Endymion like a baby. They had a panicked expression as they followed Elysium into the grand hall in a hurry.
Kyriaki glanced at them, then in a calm and polite tone she asked;
—What's the matter, Dad?—
Elysium lifted her up, his pupils shaking as he thoughtfully inspected her entire body.
"Thanasios is with us! She hasn't gone on a rampage, not a chance!" With a voice so soft it felt heartbreaking, he whispered, tension visibly leaving his body.
—Ah— She glanced at her twin brother and grandfather. It seemed they were informed of her useless mumbles by the guards.
Well it wasn't dramatic to act this way if that was the case. As a mutated dragon, just uttering the word "Rampage" was fairly enough to scare away others. And it was inevitable that her father, The Dragon King, would immediately be informed.
Nevertheless, she felt a bit bothered by getting treated as a crazy time-bomb.
—It was a jest, Dad. I guess the guards weren't able to understand the depth of my humor— She declared without a hint of shame, prompting Elysium to pause on his tracks.
"If that was just a jest—" He opened his mouth, but then as if something came to his mouth he closed his mouth immediately. "... nevermind. We aren't born perfect anyway." His lips curled in a gorgeous smile as his eyes turned crescent shaped. A slight to behold, truly.
"By the way, it seems Ria's System has manifested?" A deep voice that held wisdom of a thousand years reached them the next second.
Endymion stepped close to them, both him and Kyrios now carefully observing Kyriaki.
—I can't access most of her information, why is that?— His adorable yet thoughtful voice echoed through the hall, surprising the two dragons.
"Oh my!" Endymion and Elysium exclaimed simultaneously.
"B+ !? That's a first!" Their right eye gleamed with a sky blue hue as they examined Kyriaki as if she was a lab subject from some insane scientist's dark laboratory.
Oh well, she did the same, albeit more desecrately than them.

Suddenly, a vibrant holographic display, the color of sky-blue, appeared right In front of her, projecting the image of a sleek futuristic AI system. A completely different type of display from her system screen.

A Swordmaster or an Archmage was supposed to be SSS rank. And that's usually the peak most humans commonly could acquire in their lifetime.
But to have a status window with the lowest stat being strength with L (Low) rank, being a mage on top of that, that was outright showcasing the difference in race.
Kyriaki's eyes sparkled as she looked at Elysium with newfound respect. Although he was a bit clingy with no shame, he was still someone useful.
"Gasps!" Elysium's beautiful down-turned eyes widened.
"Father, did you see it?! I wasn't dreaming, right?!" His exciting voice, a bit trembling from whatever had occupied his mind, reminded her of a fairy's laughter. But the next sentence he uttered made her eyes turn cold and face devoid of any expression.
"My darling daughter, who's always distant, calculating and very polite, is looking at me with sparkles in her eyes!!! She thinks I'm great and mighty! She thinks I'm the best Dad!! Ah! Let's make this a national celebration!! I'll personally appear before humans so that they can praise and worship my golden amber and shimmering glass sand!"
—Father, with all due respect, how do you come up with the craziest nicknames and thoughts each and every time?— Kyriaki's politely flat yet subtly cold words made Elysium freeze his entire body.
"It seems she's back to normal." Endymion chuckled, his gaze still lingering on Kyriaki with warmth and satisfaction.
Kyriaki smirked as she let him scan her to his heart's content. Because she too was doing the same.

Once he goes through his last growth pace, he'll max out all status and climb to Demi-god rank without a doubt.

Kyriaki turned to Kyrios with a polite smile on her face.
Kyrios, happy that his twin was looking at him, smiled back innocently, titling his head in the process.
The slight of Kyrios adorably tilting his head was worth making a fanclub if she was a reader reading of him back on earth.
Kyriaki's smile grew wider, this time there was no eerie aura, instead she looked as if she could summon little winged babies with tiny bells, harps and baskets full of flower petals to praise her little brother.

Although she thought that, the way ??? showed her Kyrios' death was enough for her to understand why he was titled.
She was here because Kyrios was loved and pitied by that entity. It was justified because of how adorable a child he was, yes. Hence—Kyriaki admitted—she didn't mind being his guardian in any way.
