Chapter 7: Lottery Session, First Custom Order, and B-Grade Attempt
Back home, Naraku immediately began his usual lottery ritual.
"Bath." "Incense." "Fasting." "Meditation."
These seemingly pointless ceremonies truly had no practical effect—but at least when he inevitably hit pity-tier again, his emotions wouldn't spiral out of control.
As always, he started with a single draw.
[Lottery in progress]
Years of non-chief life had taught him: no expectations, no disappointment. He watched the wheel spin calmly, steeling himself mentally. No matter where it landed, he would not break.
But as the pointer drifted closer… closer… and slowly stopped on blue—
Naraku's lips twitched harder than an AK-47 on full auto.
[Blue: Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's Sarashi (Chest Binder)]
"Fuck! This is cursed!" Naraku completely lost composure.
Was this idiot forging system growing hooks in his brain? A rare blue item—and it's another piece of Kaguya's underwear! He still hadn't even "researched" (definitely not appraised) the last pair of panties!
Was the next step a full Kaguya cosplay set so Black Zetsu would call him "mom"?
It took Naraku a minute to calm down.
Then, in a fit of rage, he slammed the ten-draw.
[Auntie Fifi Sanitary Pads ×10] [Super Delicious Taro Boba Milk Tea ×10 bottles] [Rough Iron ×1000 kg] [Mineral Water Bottle ×1] [Green: Fine Iron ×10 kg – Refined from ordinary iron ore using special techniques. High pressure/heat resistance, magic-conductive. Essential metal for weapon crafting.] [Blue: Dangerous Species – Water Dragon Beast Corpse ×1 portion (Akame ga Kill! world aquatic dangerous species; enters berserk state when threatened)] (Note: All blue dangerous species are corpses; gold-tier are live. Due to different forging requirements.)
[Boneless Chicken Feet ×10 kg] [Pickled Fish Packs ×10] [AD Calcium Milk ×1 crate] [Blue: Oriharukon ×1 portion – Rare and precious special metal from the Akame ga Kill! world.]
This pull almost brought tears to Naraku's eyes. For once, he felt like an emperor—two usable blue items!
Especially curious about the Fine Iron: its properties sounded suspiciously similar to chakra metal.
He immediately compared them by channeling chakra into both.
Chakra conductivity was slightly better in chakra metal, but the difference wasn't huge. According to system descriptions, Fine Iron seemed to have superior overall strength.
With 10 kg of Fine Iron in hand, Naraku was confident he could forge a B-grade weapon!
The next morning, Mikoto didn't come to wake him. When Naraku finally stirred, first period was already over.
No early classes in his previous life—now reincarnated and still suffering 8 a.m. lectures?
Naraku muttered in the classic Liu Haizhu meme tone: "I'm attending early class!" (while clearly skipping).
A proud Uchiha ditching class? No big deal.
He headed to check out his new shop—curious who his first real customer would be.
Following Granny Cat's directions, he arrived quickly. The sign read: "Nekomata General Store."
Simple. Brutal. Effective.
The cute teenage girl Shin greeted him respectfully: "Lord Naraku, what brings you here?"
Naraku said he just wanted to look around.
Before he could browse, a hearty voice came from outside: "Shin-chan, how's that custom weapon order coming along?"
Naraku turned—and immediately recognized the Uzumaki-like energy. Familiar face.
Shin responded cheerfully: "Ah, Nawaki-san! This is Master Naraku—the one who forged those premium shuriken. Why don't you talk to him directly?"
Naraku lit up inside. Nawaki—Tsunade's little brother, one of the purest remaining Senju bloodline holders.
Nawaki looked at the boy who seemed even younger than him and hesitated. He'd pictured a burly uncle or grizzled old master, not a kid.
Still, his manners held: "Naraku-san, I'd like to commission a ninja blade from you. But it needs a special design. Is that possible?"
Naraku pulled him to a quiet corner to sit. "Any other requirements for the blade?"
Nawaki explained: "It's a gift for my teacher, Orochimaru. He already has good swords, but I want this one to be premium quality."
Naraku's mind raced—he already had a plan. "Oh? A gift for Lord Orochimaru? If I told you I could forge something exceptionally strong… would you want it? It might cost a bit more."
He flashed a disarmingly kind smile.
Nawaki, oblivious to the impending hemorrhage: "How much?"
"Cost price: 10 million ryō. That's my first custom rate—and a discount because it's for Orochimaru-sama. Otherwise, no way it'd be this cheap! You can see the finished product before deciding to buy."
Naraku spoke with absolute confidence. No deposit required.
Nawaki, impressed by the no-pressure approach, agreed. He handed over a sketch—requesting the appearance match this design closely.
Naraku took the paper. "Come back in two days."
He didn't linger at the shop. He rushed straight to the forging room.
Now he felt ready to attempt B-grade. This was the perfect chance.
He decided on an enhanced version of Kirikabe Ichimonji (One-Cut Killer) for Orochimaru.
After thinking it through: White Fang's style didn't suit Kirikabe's bleed/poison effect—he relied on overwhelming one-hit kills, often with chakra-extended blades. No need for extra bleed.
Orochimaru, however? Perfect match. He preferred drawn-out fights, wearing opponents down. Add poison + bleed, and it would synergize beautifully.
Since this was his first true B-grade attempt, Naraku went all-in.
Materials:
Blue: Oriharukon ×1
Blue: Dangerous Species – Flying Mantis Corpse ×1
Fine Iron ×1 kg
Chakra Metal ×500 g
Technique: one of the more time-consuming Vassal Arm secret forging methods—different from the simple one used on shuriken.
