Chapter 24: Incursio Forging Completion – Tsunade's Test and Terrifying Power
Fortunately, the runes held Tyrant firmly in check. Over the following days, Tsunade stayed by Naraku's side during the forging.
Ever since learning Naraku was truly only eight years old, Tsunade felt a deep sense of shame whenever she got too close to him. After all, any twenty-two-year-old developing even the slightest affection toward an eight-year-old of the opposite sex was downright perverse!
Yet over these days spent accompanying Naraku, Tsunade discovered something: This boy not only possessed extraordinary forging skill—he also had insight far beyond any academy student. Tsunade fully embraced the phrase "terrible at the game but hopelessly addicted." She kept declaring that one day she would beat Naraku at gambling and settle the score.
Naraku, for his part, genuinely liked the current Tsunade. In canon, much of her later alcoholism and compulsive gambling stemmed from the despair of losing her brother and lover in quick succession, compounded by hemophobia and self-destructive abandonment. Right now, her only real vice was a love of gambling—but it was just a hobby. When she lost, she simply went home. She never racked up massive debts like she would later.
One day… two days… three days…
As time passed, helmet, breastplate, shoulder guards, arm guards, gauntlets, and greaves were forged one by one. Each completed piece, Naraku immediately fitted onto the human-sized Tyrant.
One week later—
With the final greave attached, Tyrant no longer looked like a monster. Now it resembled a valiant general clad in full armor.
Naraku then melted the last remaining portion of Oriharukon and once again drew intricate runes across the armor's surface. When the final stroke fell, all the runes gradually sank into the armor. Suddenly, the suit seemed to come alive—the pupils of the helm flashed a vicious crimson.
Naraku chanted another strange incantation. The entire armor began shrinking again, slowly reshaping into the form of a greatsword.
Finally, he placed the First Hokage Necklace into the pre-prepared indentation. The sword was complete.
The massive blade gleamed with cold light, its edge razor-sharp, as though it could slice the air itself. The broad, heavy body exuded raw power and resilience. At the base of the hilt sat an eye-like crystal. At the pommel gleamed the First Hokage Necklace crystal.
