Sor Sogon felt his scalp numbed by fear, his armored men were only less than three five hundred, and to make things worse, they did weren't real soldiers at all but normal farmers and villagers dressed in crude iron armor.
Just as panic spread like a deadly virus, a familiar voice traveled from the center of the village.
The Immortal Zudra has returned!
Almost instantly, the people hiding in the doolhouses immediately went outside and dashed toward Roy.
Together, they performed a one knee bow, then loud shouting rose from the panicked villagers.
"Oh great benevolent lord, save us from disaster." A villager said, head lowered and voice shaking.
"Save us from the upcoming army, Heavenly Lord, we beg you." Another villager spoke, voice raised and dropped, fear and dread visible in his expression.
Roy was completely bewildered.
When he had announced to the village that he would be away for the rest of the day, he was actually intending to sell the gold he had collected.
What he did not realize, is that the pawnshop nearest to his residence were closed during weekends.
He went back to his apartment disappointed, frustration clearly visible on his expression.
After clearing his mind, he decided that he should collect more gold from the river, enlarge them, and sell them.
But just as he arrived, when he entered the mirror, he was welcomed by a massive flood of panicked people, like a blockade that failed to block the flowing water.
Relief surged toward Sor Sogon and Bah Long's veins, they sprinted toward the center of the village, they didn't even have time to stop their momentum when they dropped to the ground onto one knee.
They immediately relayed the scout's report, stating that a detachment of the southern army was approaching from the south.
Hearing this, irritation flooded back to Roy, his jaw tightened as he received the news.
He exited the mirror, he swiped the screen several times upward.
After a considerate amount of endless swiping, his view landed on a narrow ravine where countless thached tents lay scattered along the plains.
Then, small figures appeared from the tents. Soldiers.
More than four hundred of them.
"Shit! So many soldiers." Roy muttered, irritation visible on his face.
He swiped upward frantically until his view landed back onto the village, he appeared in the center of the kneeling masses, grabbed a sword from Sor Sogon's armored men, feeling his defenses insufficient, he grabbed another blade.
Blinded by anger, Roy sprinted across the plains and reached the area where the soldiers had camped in seconds.
He narrowed his eyes, and he stammered when he saw that the soldiers where openly violating women villagers.
These women were likely prisoners of war, more likely taken from nearby villages or tows.
Then realization struck him like hammer.
If the women were all taken here, then the men are already...
He did not finish the sentence, unease crept into his heart as he watch the laughing soldiers humiliating the women in open grounds.
They stripped and beat them in public, soldiers took childrens from their mothers grip and whipped them until blood sprayed from their backs.
Seeing the brutality, Roy's eyes turned bloodshot red.
He tightened his grip on the swords handle, his knuckles turned pale white.
Sor Sogon and his men ran at full speed, they saw Roy heading south, probably dealing with the enemy, and didn't even bother bringing them along.
So they followed, they stammered while running, some almost tripped along burried rock and roots, the weight of their armor made it hard for them to travel properly, but they endured.
Roy couldn't contain his anger any longer, the frustration of traveling for miles from the modern world to sell his gold nuggets, and arrived at the store with nothing more than a sign hanging at the door window that said "CLOSE" and the irritation that he couldn't pan for gold in peace because of a troublesom army appearing out of nowhere, finnaly lifted his restraints.
He postured a staggering stance, leaned forward sightly and shouted to the top of his lungs.
"BASTARDS!" Roy shouted, voice echoing across the mountains as he lunged forward, "HERE I COME!"
The soldiers snapped their gaze toward the mountains, the voice traveled through the plains and reached their ears, instinctively turning their heads and swept from right to left.
At first, they saw nothing, only the endless plains of grass and mountains.
Suddenly, something flashed in front of them, like a bird descending from the sky to catch it's prey.
Blood sprayed upward from one of the soldier's necks, two more heads were sent flying toward the sky as red mist shot several meters away onto the ground.
The soldiers eyes widened, completely stunned by what had happened.
At first, they had suspected one of the women attacked their men while they were distracted by the loud voice.
So they drew their blades and prepared to slash the woman to death.
One soldier lifted his sword toward the sky, and when he was about to bring it down, his vission suddenly went dark.
His vission faded almost instantly.
