Chapter 23 - Water Tank

With Roy's income after selling his precious gold nuggets, his pockets has now been overflowing with large amounts of money, so typically, food shortage has rarely become an issue.

He strode toward his kitchen, opened the refrigerator door and grab a massive chunk of meat, along with multiple varieties of vegetables and fruits.

With food in hand, he went back to his living room, tapped the OPEN button on his mirror, and placed the meat outside of the evolving village, followed by enormous pieces of fruits and greens.

The village has been expanding rapidly throughout the day that still calling it a village is a bit of an...understatement

With the growing population, manpower also increased, and progress expand, the village has become a proper city now, housing a number of more than twenty thousand people.

However, after careful observation, Roy discovered a peculiar problem.

Water.

The endless flow of water from the nearby river provided the tiny people abundant water supply, but the nearest river was one kilometer away from the city, absolutely impossible for woman to carry on their backs.

Every morning, several men would line up holding large wooden buckets and march toward the river to collect water, hundreds of meters forward and hundreds of meters back, without horses or carts, it is terribly tiring work.

Roy frowned slightly, his brows slowly knotting together as his mind raced through any solutions that could solve the problem.

He searched his apartment for anything that could be of use, drawers, his bedroom, the kitchen, he searched nearly every corridor and edges of his home.

He found nothing.

Disappointment creeped into Roy's heart, he let out a slow sigh and slumped down onto his sofa.

He watched the evolving village's busy streets, men worked tirelessly under the scorching sun, soldiers lying on the ground after finishing the morning routines set by Vice-Minister Rak Mhan, childrens ran along the fields, playing and laughing as they past the tired soldiers.

Seeing the bustling crowd, Roy felt his chest suddenly filled with warmth, a smile curved across his face, satisfaction clearly visible on his eyes.

Just then, when he tried to stood up, something suddenly fall onto the floor, creating a low thud that snapped Roy's attention.

He tried to reach down, and discovered it was only a plastic water bottle, stumbling and rolling slightly as it steadied itself.

A flash of idea suddenly came into mind, Roy's eyes immediately lit up as he grabbed the water bottle on the ground, ran to his kitchen and filled the bottle with clean, clear water before dashing back toward his living room.

There, he sat crossed legged, his left hand held a plastic bottle filled with water as his right hand reached toward the side of the mirror and gently pressed a button.

After careful tapping, his left hand, still gripping around the water bottle, reached out toward the screen, and gently put down the plastic bottle inside the village walls.

Outside the mirror, the plastic bottle was just a normal, one-liter, about thirty-cm tall water bottle, filled with clean water, but inside the mirror, the thirty-cm water bottle grew into a hundreds of meters tall water tank, towering over every building inside the village.

The villagers saw the humongous object descending from the sky, they immediately guessed that Lord Zudra has personally manifested and has grant them yet another artifact.

Inside the evolving village, the water bottle began it's descent, below, the tiny villagers scrambled as they sprinted outside the village walls.

The plastic bottle landed firmly onto the the ground creating a loud boom as dust and debris were sent flying violently onto the open field.

Roy immediately jumped in, the water bottled towered above the surrounding buildings, dwarfing even the fifty-meter tall walls that have slowly encircled the village.

He dashed forward heading toward where the bottle had landed, and arrived just as early before the curious villagers surrounded it.

Bah Long, Sor Sogon, Rak Mhan, and along with multiple ministers went dashing through the crowd, squeezing and pushing through as they try to reach the edge of the masses before stopping directly under the enormous wate bottle.

One minister lifted his gaze, slowly lifting his head ninety degrees upward until he saw the plastic bottle cap sitting calmly above the plastic bottle.

Roy cleared his throat, instantly snapping the gathering crowds attention before speaking in a loud, steady voice.

"This right here is a plastic water bottle," Roy said, waving his hand slightly gesturing toward the towering object, "Now, men and women will never have to fetch water again on the river."

"A bottle? It's more like a tank!" One villager said, his voice carried traces of disbelief.

Roy pulled out a metal tube, along with a small, curved plastic with a blue-lever on top.

The villagers watched with wide eyes, confusion visible on their faces, clearly failing to process the situation.

Roy approached the towering artifact, he held the metal tube with both hands and plunged it inside the water bottle, the bottle was enlarged two-hundred times, the once thin plastic grew into four-cm thick wall, creating a loud creak before the tube penetrated the inside.

Clear water came gushing out as Roy tried to install the plastic faucet, he twisted frantically, ensuring no leaks, he slowly turned the lever to the right and the water flow stopped.

The villagers jaw dropped onto the ground as they stared with wide eyes toward the weird contraption, confusion and shock visible on their face.

"What kind of sorcery is this?" One villager said, his jaw still hung wide.

Roy let out a low chuckle, clearly amused by the peoples expressions.

"This water tank will serve as supply for your daily needs, " Roy said, his voice low but firm, "With this water reserves, you will no longer need to fetch water from the river and carry them onto your backs."

He paused, letting the words sink in before continuing.

"With this, gathering water will be much more easier."
