"Ann, I need to speak to you", it was Samuel, everyone since the day he asked me out we have not spoken to each other, even though we said we would remain good friends,
"Yes Samuel?",
"Ann, I don't want our friendship to end because of my feelings, I want us to remain good friends, regardless of my feelings for you"
I smiled, "We will always be friends, alright", and we shared a knowing smile.
My friendship with Samuel improved and we were closer than ever and I'm happy, but not everyone was happy.
"Can you believe it, just because they're friends doesn't mean she saw him first. The first day Samuel came to this school I was at the school gate and we locked eyes, so I saw him first, Ann is shameless, I hate her", Victoria said to Mary and their group of friends.
I won't deny it, Samuel is hot, maybe even hotter than Henry, and he has this charm that makes you want to be closer to him and on top of it all, he is kind and understanding, any girl would be lucky to have him, but I don't like him and that's that.
"Victoria, since you like him so much, why don't you go and confess your feelings to him", since you're so foolish, but Mary didn't say the last part out loud, so as not to upset Victoria.
"You know what Mary, you're right, I will confess my feelings, and I'll do it today", So Victoria planned to confess her feelings to Samuel.
Meanwhile, Samuel and I went to the library to study, and while we were coming out we were chatting and didn't pay attention to what was happening, and before I knew it someone pushed me and I lost my balance and fell, I closed my eyes waiting for the pain to come, but it never did, Samuel caught me in his arms and pulled me to my feet,
"Are you alright, hurt anywhere?", he asked with a concerned expression,
"I'm fine, thank you"
"Victoria are you crazy", SMACK!!, "The next time you display this kind of madness, I'll skin you alive", he said then pulled me away, leaving Victoria standing there in shock.
"He slapped me, he slapped me how, why", she muttered to herself, and then she charged at us, and she pushed me again yelling hysterically, "He's my man, my man" , and Samuel slapped her again,
"The next time you hurt Ann, you'll have me to contend with, and please don't call me your man, I'll never be!!", then he helped me get up, and as soon as my feet touch the ground,
"Ouch !!, I think I sprained my ankle", then without a word he picked me up in a princess carry and went straight to the school nurse, thankfully it wasn't serious as my ankle only needed some ointment and rest. He still carried me to the class,
"Thank you Samuel"
"Don't mention, if I don't take care of you who will?", his last statement made me uncomfortable,
"Yeah, thank you",
"You're welcome, don't tell me thank you"
My leg healed just fine, and I could walk without anyone helping me after three days.
Victoria didn't cause any trouble and I was grateful, if she wanted to have Samuel she could, he was never mine to begin with, and probably never will, oh well, 'all's well that ends well', I thought.
The following days went smoothly and peacefully, little did I know that it was just the calm before a storm.
On this particular day, Ethan and Samuel had after-school lessons, so I went home myself, and for some reason, I felt like someone or something has been following me all the way from the school, and when I turned around no one was there, so I started walking faster, then someone covered my eyes and gagged my mouth, and hoisted me over their shoulder, I didn't struggle because I already knew who wants me, it was Victoria of course, who else would be bold enough to dare?.
"Ouch!!!", but the sound came out as muffled sounds as my mouth was gagged, the person literally threw me on the ground like I'm a sack of potatoes or what??
"Well, well, well, look who we have here", that voice I knew too well, it was Victoria, just as I suspected, with a firm voice, I replied, then someone removed the cloth from my mouth,
"Victoria, victoria, victoria, you really playing with fire", SMACK!!!, she slapped me,
"How dare you, you're in my hands, and you still speak so boldly, do you know what I can do to you"
"What can you do??",
"Oh, you'll find out, you stole my man from me, and you think you can get away with it??!",
"Vict...", SMACK!!, the sound of that slap against my cheek echoed, I think we're in an abandoned warehouse
"You don't talk, until I say so, I think I'll destroy your beautiful face, so Samuel will leave you"
"I've told you times without number, Samuel and I are just friends, you should go to him and not me, you doing this wont make him want you, bet he'll despise you even more, so Victoria, I beg you let me go", at this point I had to put my pride aside and beg,
SMACK!!, isn't she getting tired of slapping me, SMACK!!!, then another followed, then SMACK!!,
"Look and listen Samuel is mine, and ....."
"And no one is opposes that, go to Samuel and tell him all this and not me please", I cut her off with a desperate plea,
SMACK!!, "Don't you ever interrupt me again!!",
I silently vowed that once I get out of here, I'll repay Victoria in her own coin,
SMACK!!, "What are you thinking about??!!"
BANG!!!, "What do you think you're doing?!!?", that voice, it was Samuel,
SMACK!!!, "How dare you touch her, do you have a death wish", it was Ethan, Oh God!!, I felt like crying,
Then someone gently lifted the blindfold from my face, it was Samuel, Ethan was dealing with Victoria and her people, he scooped me up in his arms ever so gently, like he's afraid I'll break,
"Could you please control your admirers??, this one's too crazy", we both shared a laugh,
"Your face is swollen like a pig's and you two are laughing??!!!", I could hear the frustration in Ethan's voice,
"Is it a crime to laugh??, now it's his admirer, tomorrow it could be yours!!", I shot back,
He just sighed, "I don't have time for your trouble now, let's get you to a hospital".
And so I was taken to the hospital, and thankfully it was just some minor cuts and scratches, apart from my swollen pig like face, which I was given some ointment to reduce the swelling and pain.
I was taken home by Ethan and Samuel and they had dinner at my place, I was grateful for these two. I later learned that they came to my house to check on me and was informed that I wasn't home yet, thankfully, Ethan installed a tracking device on my phone, which is connected to his phone, I thought it was useless untill now when I really needed it.
