I knew it was mostly the women who had 'kidnapped' him, now that they'd realised they could actually hold a conversation with their boss without getting fired on the spot. "I told you the team was very excited to have you here, Sir."
"I didn't think it would be like this. What happened to fearing the CEO?" He tilted his head, looking genuinely perplexed by the sudden lack of professional distance.
