"It was the nanny who realized Felicia wasn't there to breastfeed the baby," Thiago explained quietly. "At first, everyone thought she might have stepped outside, but after searching the entire compound, they couldn't find her anywhere."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"Her room had been emptied. All of her luggage was gone, and by the time they checked her bank accounts, every cent she had in her savings had already been transferred out."
Thiago let out a slow breath, his expression growing more serious.
"It doesn't look like she left on impulse. If you ask me..." He glanced at Luciano before finishing, "...she'd been planning her escape for quite some time."
A troubled silence settled over the group as they resumed walking, their pace noticeably slower than before. The laughter that had filled the shoreline only moments earlier had faded, replaced by the steady murmur of the waves breaking against the sand.
